A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the P.G.I.M.E.R., Chandigarh and Panjab University, Chandigarh, is signed at PU Campus
here on 17th September 2008 for enrollment / registration of candidates for pursuing Ph.D. research in various Departments of Basic Medical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh, for which Chief Supervisor will be appointed from the parent University Teaching Department and Co-Supervisor/Supervisor can be appointed from the P.G.I.M.E.R., Chandigarh, and also vice versa, i.e. if a candidate enrolled/registered for Ph.D. in a Department at P.G.I.M.E.R., the Chief Supervisor/Guide would be from P.G.I.M.E.R., and Co-Supervisor/Co-Guide from the collaborating Department of the Panjab University; and

The last date for applying is 22.9.2008 up to 4.00 p.m. in the respective departments. The admission to OBC is based on qualifying examination whereas admission to other categories is based on CET/OCET merit. The counselling will be held on 25.9.2008 from 10.00 a.m. onwards.

HOW TO APPLY :

Step 1: Candidates seeking admission to FMS-BHU will be required to purchase CAT 2008 (conducted by IIMs) Bulletin available from July 14 to August 13, 2008 and appear in CAT 2008 on SUNDAY, November 16, 2008. Completed CAT Application forms should be directly sent to the concerned IIMs on or before September 05, 2008 (for details see CAT 2008 Notification). Selection will be made strictly on the basis of the combined Merit acquired by a Candidate in CAT 2008, Group Discussion and Interview. The FMS, BHU uses CAT for short-listing the candidates for its two-year full time Post-Graduate Programmes in Management.

IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Step 2: Candidates are also required to register at FMS, BHU through separate application form which has to be obtained from Faculty of Management Studies, BHU, Varanasi from July 18, 2008 either in person against crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) /Banker’s Cheque of Rs. 850/- (Rs. 550/- for SC/ST) till November 24, 2008 OR by post through a requisition along with Crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) of Rs. 900/- (Rs. 600/- for SC/ST) and self-addressed envelope of 32x26 cm. till November 1, 2008 OR may be downloaded from the web site of BHU (www.bhu.ac.in). The downloaded application form must be submitted along with demand draft of Rs. 850/- (Rs. 550/- for SC/ST Category).
