Please follow the guidelines and instruction for submission of Examination Form:-

1. Please ensure that you have already submitted the assignments as applicable for the courses you are filling in the Examination Form. Otherwise, Hall Tickets will NOT be issued for the courses for which assignments have not been submitted by you.

2. You are required to pay examination fee@ Rs. 60/-per course for theory as well as practical. Dates for submission of examination forms start from 1st September to 30th September without late fee. Late fee of Rs 300/- is from 1st Oct. to 20th Oct and Rs. 500/- from 21st Oct to 30th Oct. 2014 for Dec., 2014 TEE.

Eligibility Conditions: Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline (For ECE, COE, ICE, MPAE, IT) Securing 70% or more marks in aggregate and Masters Degree in Science or Equivalent in relevant area (as detailed at point No. V & Vi above) of Applied Sciences & Bio-Technology (in accordance with Ordinance VI-B, University of Delhi) securing 70% or
more marks in aggregate.

In case the result of qualifying degree is given in CGPA/FGPA/CPI/DGPA the candidate should attach the conversion formula given by the university/institute and fill up the application form accordingly with the percentage; failing which his/her percentage will be calculated using the formula as per AICTE guideline. For example if the CGPA is 8.5 in the scale of 10 then percentage will be

(8.5 – 0.75) X 10 = 77.5%

1. Two Payment Methods are available i.e. Direct Cash Deposit (at Bank of Maharashtra/HDFC Bank) and Online Payment through Credit/Debit card

If you select payment method as “Direct Cash Deposition”, Online challan get generated after submission of application form. Print this Challan through link "Print Challan". Student has to submit this challan at Cash Counter any branch of selected Bank (Bank of Maharashtra /HDFC Bank). This challan is divided into 3 sections. After receipt of payment, Bank will give you 2 parts of challan with Stamp of Bank. Student need to submit University Copy of Stamped Challan along with Application form printout to University

If You select payment method as Online payment, you will be redirected to University payment gateway website. Please follow the procedure of website. After successful payment, your online payment receipt will be get genereted which will get printed along with "Application form Print"as a last page.

2. You will not be admitted to the Entrance Examination Hall without Hall Ticket.

3. Before appearing to the Entrance Examination, you are requested to confirm that Department has received your application form and fee, by logging in to the website with the Username and Password created by you.

Applications are invited for admission to the Department of Museology, University of Calcutta (1 Reformatory Street, Kolkata 700 027) for Ph.D. Course and subsequent research work leading to PhD degree in Museology. Candidates desiring to pursue research work in the Department may apply in the prescribed pro-forma (can be downloaded from the University website) by paying Rs. 100/- through a Challan obtainable from the University Cash Counter by 3rd October 2013.

Eligible candidates (having Master’s Degree in relevant subjects) will have to appear in an Entrance Test of 100 marks, to be held in this Department on 8th November 2013, comprising a written examination, followed by an interview. Those candidates who have already passed UGC (JRF) Examinations/ NET/ SET/ SLET or equivalent examinations or passed the M.Phil. or equivalent examination need not appear in the written examination and can directly appear in the interview. Details of the Entrance Test are given below:

1) The Written Examination of one and a half hour duration shall comprise 5 Questions of 4 marks each, based on a relevant paragraph to assess research aptitude; 15 Multiple Choice Type Questions of 2 marks each, from the core subjects; and 25 marks for a Research Proposal. There will be no negative markings.

2) Questions would be based mainly on the first three papers of the current MA/ M.Sc. Museology syllabus, viz., Organization & Management, Exhibition & Education, and Care & Conservation, though relevant other areas like, Basic Computer Applications, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Analytical Abilities, etc., may also be covered.

3) Candidates getting 40% and above in the written examination will qualify for interview of 25 marks. Date for the interview would be displayed in the Departmental Notice Board.
