Prospectus-cum-Application Forms can be download from website or can obtain from the reception counter /office of weekend programme(Administrative Block) on all days (Monday to Sunday) w.e.f. 21.02.2011 (9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M) up to 10.04.2011 on payment of Rs.1000/- in cash or through Demand Draft or can be downloaded from the University website which should be accompanied by Demand Draft of the same amount or can be obtained through post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs.1050/- up to 30.03.2011 from The office of Programme Director, Weekend Programme. Demand Draft should be in favour of Registrar, DCRUST, Murthal (SFS A/C-31133787915), payable at Sonepat/Delhi. In case the candidates are found ineligible or applications are received late, application fee will not be refunded. No enclosure is required with the application except Demand Draft (in case of downloaded form) for those who appear in the entrance test. However, for admission on the basis of qualifying degree basis in PG programme, all relevant documents are to be attached with the application. In case of eligibility in more than one course, separate application form is to be submitted for each course in which the candidate is interested for admission. Admit cards for entrance test shall be collected in person from venue of examination one hour before the start of the test. The last date for receiving filled in application form in the office of Programme Director, Weekend Programme is 10.04.2011 by 5.30 P.M.

Pattern of Question Paper

The GPAT-2011 question paper will consist of one hundred fifty (150 Nos.) multiple choice objective questions only. Candidates have to mark the correct choice by darkening the appropriate bubble against each question on an Optical Response Sheet (ORS). Each right answer will carry one mark while for each wrong answer 1/3 (one third) marks will be deducted.

Each question will have four choices for the answer. Out of these, only one choice is correct. Each choice contains a single, stand-alone statement / phrase / data / structure.

The type of questions asked in this examination would be to evaluate a candidate’s aptitude and subject knowledge of Pharmacy field which may involve basic principles, facts, formulae/laws, understanding of the fundamental ideas, and application or drawing observations of the fundamental.

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2011)

Date of Examination (GPAT - 2011) 8th May 2011 (Sunday, 14.00-17.00 Hrs)

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2011) would be conducted under the aegis of National Monitoring Committee, All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara

Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and other government scholarships/assistantships in pharmacy colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify through GPAT. Candidates who qualify GPAT examination and have Four years Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy are eligible for admission to Master/Doctoral programmes in Pharmacy. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. However, candidates with Master’s degree in Pharmacy may seek admission to relevant Ph.D. programmes with scholarship/assistantship without appearing in the GPAT examination.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates) and those who are in the final year of B.Pharmacy course are eligible for appearing in GPAT-2011 examination.
