Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following purely temporary positions of Studentship/Traineeship, to work in DBT sponsored project on Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF) at the Bioinformatics Centre, Gauhati University, Guwahati:
1. Traineeship – 01
Essential Qualification: Applicants completed their Post Graduate degree in Bioinformatics or any other branch of Life Sciences / B.E (Computer Science)/B.Tech. /MCA/M.Sc. with knowledge in Bioinformatics.
Desirable Qualification: Prior knowledge of programming languages such as C, VB, SQL etc.
2. Studentship – 01
Essential Qualification: Students pursuing postgraduate degree in Bioinformatics or any branch of Life Sciences with a programme in Bioinformatics to carry out a project.
Desirable Qualification: Basic working knowledge of computer.
A monthly stipend of 5000/- (Consolidated) shall be awarded to both the candidates of Studentship. The duration of the traineeship will be 2.5 months and studentship will be for 4 months.
Applications, neatly typed on plain paper, stating the name, address, date of birth, educational qualifications and experiences, email along with attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates should be submitted to the Coordinator on or before 15 February 2011.
