Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER)
Mimamsa is an undergraduate level inter-college science competition organized by Science Club, IISER Pune. This competition is different from the regular science quizzes in that it does not seek to test the factual knowledge of the participants. The aim of Mimamsa is to challenge the participants to couple the knowledge of basic concepts in science with analytical reasoning to arrive at the answers. In that sense, Mimamsa is closer to the various science Olympiads, although with some major differences in the skills being tested for.
There will be a 90-minutes long preliminary round for selecting teams from four different colleges for participation in the finals (for more details see Guidelines). The finals will be organized at IISER-Pune, and shall stretch over >14 hours on two days. The winning team shall receive the Mimamsa Rolling Trophy. All finalists shall win exciting cash prizes and mementos. All prelims participants will get Participation Certificates at the venue.
The Preliminary round will take place at four centers at Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad & Nagpur.
