Admission Notice 2009-10 for Master of Pharmacy

Eligibility:

(a) General Category: The candidates possessing the Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from AICTE approved institutions, with at least 55% marks, and VALID GATE SCORE, shall be eligible for admission. The admission shall be made on the basis of the MERIT prepared from the VALID GATE SCORE only. If the candidates having a valid GATE score are not available, these seats may be offered to NON-GATE candidates, based upon the MERIT comprising of their aggregate marks in the B. Pharmacy examination only.

Note :


1. There will not be any age restriction.
2. Candidates belonging to reserved classes, with a VALID GATE SCORE, will be considered in the same MERIT as for the general category seats.
3. Scholarship shall be admissible only to the candidates having a VALID GATE SCORE. No scholarship shall be given to the NON-GATE candidates admitted, if any, to the General Category Seats.
4. The mode of selection shall be MERIT on the basis of VALID GATE SCORE only. In case two or more candidates have an equal GATE score, preference shall be given to the one having a higher aggregate marks in the B.Pharmacy examination. If the aggregate marks in the B.Pharmacy examination are also same, preference shall be decided on the basis of seniority in age.
5. Candidates must submit the proof of a VAILD GATE SCORE card and having passed the qualifying examination, i.e., B. Pharmacy, at the time of counselling.
6. The elgibility of the candidates shall be ascertained at the time of counselling. The candidates are advised to bring original certificates/ testimonials alongwith the attested copies of each from a Gazetted Officer.
7. No rounding off marks in Pharmacy Examination is admissible.
8. There is a likelihood of scholarships being paid by AICTE but the said scholarships shall be admissible only to the candidates having a VALID GATE SCORE. No scholarship shall be given to the NON-GATE candidates admitted, if any.

(B) Reserved Categories: A candidate who wishes to be considered for reserved category(ies) shall have to furnish a certificate issued by a competent authority. Specimen copies of the Certificate are appended in the Prospectus. A candidate who applies for both reserved and general category will be first considered in the general category. In case he/she is not selected in the general category, he/she will be considered in the reserved category. If the seats in the reserved category(ies) remain vacant, the same may be thrown open to General Category with the prior approval of the Vice-Chancellor.

Special Note : If any candidate or his/ her parents or guardian are found to have submitted any false affidavit/ certificate, not only the candidate’s admission will be cancelled. but the person filling the affidavit shall also be liable to be prosecuted in accordance with Criminal Law.

A copy of the prospectus containing admission form
and other details can be obtained from office of the Incharge (Publication cell), M.D. University, Rohtak in person on payment of Rs. 500/- (Rs .125/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only) in cash. Request for prospectus through registered post must be received in the office of the Incharge (Publication cell) on or before 21.07.09 by sending Bank Draft of Rs. 550/- (Rs.175/- for SC/BC category candidates of Haryana only) in favour of the, Finance Officer M.D. University, Rohtak payable at State Bank of India M.D. University, Rohtak (Code No. 4734). Payment by Cheque, Money Order, I.P.O. or in any other form will not be accepted.

Prospectus and Application form can also be down-loaded from University Website www.mdurohtak.com and should be submitted alongwith a bank draft in favour of Finance officer, M.D. University, Rohtak payable at Rohtak for Rs. 500/- (Rs. 125/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana only ).
