Admission to Ph.D. Programme is open in the following Faculties of Jamia Hamdard.

Allied Health Sciences Allied Health Sciences
Islamic Studies and Social Sciences Islamic Studies; Federal Studies*
Management and Information Technology Management; Computer Science
Pharmacy Pharmaceutics; Pharmacology; Pharmacognosy & Photochemistry; Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Medicine**
Science Biochemistry; Biotechnology; Botany; Chemistry; Toxicology
Engineering & Inter-disciplinary Sciences Candidates will work in inter-disciplinary sciences but degree will be awarded in a core subject
Admission will depend on the availability of vacancies in each subject.
* M.Phil. degree is also offered in Federal Studies.
** Ph.D. Pharmaceutical Medicine programme runs in collaboration with Ranbaxy Research Laboratories. There are 10 seats under this programme including seats for industry sponsored, self-financed and foreign nationality candidates
Detailed procedure of admission and registration and bye-laws governing Ph.D. programme are available on the University web site. NET qualified candidates, candidates working in Institutes/Industry having MoU arrangement with Jamia Hamdard and Industry sponsored candidates need also to apply.
Application form and Prospectus can be obtained in person or by sending a written request to the Assistant Registrar (Admissions), Jamia Hamdard along with a Demand Draft for Rs 2000 (or US$ 50) for Industry Sponsored candidates and Foreign Nationals and Rs. 600 for others in favour of JAMIA HAMDARD payable at NEW DELHI. Application form can also be downloaded from the web site link and submitted by enclosing the cost of application form and processing fee as per the instructions on the web site.
Last date for sale and submission of application form is July 31, 2009.
