Admission Notice 2009 in M.Phil. course in Punjabi

Applications are invited on prescribed forms, available in the Department of Punjabi, (free of cost) for the admission of M.Phil Course in Punjabi, for the academic session 2009-2010 w.e.f. Monday 22 June 2009. Last date of submission of forms is 30th June 2009 (i.e. Tuesday).

Admission

The University Ordinance VI provides that the maximum enrolment in the M.Phil. Programme in a Department shall be 25 students.

2. In order to regulate the enrolment of M.Phil. Students in a Department, a maximum of two students per existing teacher in the Department will be permissible for enrolment in the M.Phil. programme, subject to maximum enrolment of 25 students in the Department, as per the Ordinance VI.

3. Of the number of students admitted in M.Phil. programme as indicated above, 15% of the seats would be reserved for SC, 7.5% for St and 27% for OBC students. The reservations for OBC’s will be phased over a period of three years @9% each year. There will be supernumerary seats reserved for disabled candidates as per the University Guidelines.

4. The eligibility requirements for admission to M.Phil. programme are as per the relevant Ordinance of the University
