Admission 2009 in ME/M.Tech /M Pharm

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for admissions in the first semester of ME/ M.Tech/ M. Pharm programmes for session 2009-10, running in University Institute of Technology (UIT) and University Teaching Departments (UTDs) of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Viswavidyalaya (University of Technology of the state of Madhya Pradesh).

Sanctioned Intake & Reservation:


For each of the ME and M.Tech course sanctioned intake is 18 and for each of M.Pharm course the sanctioned intake is 10.

As per Government of Madhya Pradesh norms, respectively 16, 20 &14 percent seats, of the sanctioned intake are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Cast (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class excluding creamy layer (OBC), of Madhya Pradesh.

Admission Procedure: Following shall be the admission procedure:

Eligible candidates shall be called for interview in the university campus on prescribed date and time. The detail of which shall be available at URL http://admissions.rgtu.net

In the interview the candidate shall be judged on the basis of technical aptitude, which shall be conducted by the Appropriate Technical Expert Committee.

Program wise merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the candidates GATE percentile (weightage 80%) and the marks secured in the interview by the candidate (weightage 20%).

Seats shall be first filled through GATE qualified candidates according to procedure, as listed above. However, if GATE qualified candidates are not available, then the remaining vacant seats shall be filled through non GATE qualified candidates. In this case merit list (for each course) shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination (weightage 80%) and the marks secured in the interview by the candidate (weightage 20%).

List of selected candidates for various courses shall be declared by the university and would be available at URL http://admissions.rgtu.net

The candidates may note that, if sufficient number of GATE qualified candidates are available; in that case Non GATE qualified candidates will not be called for interview.
