Queen Elizabeth 2 Confers MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) Award On Bhangra Singer Malkit Singh
On Dated 07.05.2008, Malkit Singh has became the first Punjabi Singer to be honoured by Queen Elizabeth 2 at the Buckingham Place in London (UK) with the award of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
Twelve other Indian were also conferred MBE honours and two other received Officers of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
