Short Course on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing for Agriculture (Hyperagri-2013) Feb 18 - 27, 2013

Eligibility Teachers, Scientists, Engineers, Research Personnel of State Agricultural Universities, ICAR Institutes or Govt. / Semi Govt. Institutes, policy makers and academicians in the field of Agriculture and Forestry are eligible for participation. Good working knowledge on multispectral remote sensing and digital image processing is mandatory. The total number of participants shall be limited to a maximum of 25.

How to apply The application for participation may be sent in prescribed proforma, duly forwarded by the competitive authority of the Institute / University where the candidate is employed. Applicants may send an advance copy of their application, but their selection will be subject to receiving their original application along with recommendation from their employer. The 51st Convocation of the IARI will be held on Friday, 15th Feb, 2013 at 10:00 am at lawn of Dr. B. P. Pal Auditorium

Applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates who have successfully undergone prescribed course of studies and passed the final year Degree / Diploma Examinations of the Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University) Loni. Tal-Rahata, Dist Ahmcdnagar, for award of respective Degree/Diploma.

Applications for Admission to Dual Certification Programme - 2013

B.Arch, BE / B.Tech (Civil) or B. Planning or M.Sc / MA in Geography or Sociology or Economics

Interested candidates having the following qualifications are invited: B. Arch; or B.E / B. Tech (Civil); or B. Planning; or M.Sc/ M.A. in Geography or Sociology or Economics.

Min 55% marks in the qualifying exam relaxable to 50% for SC/ST candidates.

Last date for receipt of completed application is 15th Feb, 2013.

The application should accompany a Demand Draft of Rs. 6000/- in favour of Institute of Town Planners, India, payable at New Delhi. The successful candidates would be issued Associateship Examination Certificate of Institute of Town Planners, India.(Being conducted by ITPI, since 1951) on the basis of which Karnataka State Open University would award Masters Degree in Planning (M. Plan).

PGIMER has been graded as the second best hospital amongst the top 10 multi-speciality hospitals in India and also amongst the Best Govt. Multi-speciality Hospitals in India by The Week-HANSA Research national survey 2012 published in The Week. The cover story of the latest issue (December 16, 2012) of the weekly magazine THE WEEK is about the BEST HOSPITALS IN INDIA. The specialities of Paediatrics, Neurology, Diabetology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology and Oncology in PGIMER have been rated as third, fourth, fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth respectively.

Other multi-speciality hospitals amongst the top 10 are: AIIMS, New Delhi (first), CMC Vellore (third), Apollo Hospitals Greams Lane, Chennai, (fourth), Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai (fifth), Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Mumbai (sixth), Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Mumbai (seventh), Bombay Hospital, Mumbai (eighth), Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru (ninth) and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow (tenth).

The poll was conducted across 16 cities. A primary survey was conducted among 917 experts, 328 general physicians, 442 specialists and 147 pathologists/radiologists. The parameters used for rankings were overall reputation of the hospital, competency of doctors, availability of multiple specialities, patient care, hospital environment and innovation in treatment.
