Information for candidates seeking admission to Degree Engineering Programs under NRI Category
Advertisement for admissions under NRI Category will be given by the Institute in May, 2013 coinciding with the Std XII Results of the Gujarat State Board and the last date for application specified.
2. NRI Candidates will be classified as (i) Genuine NRI (ii) NRI Sponsored
3. Genuine NRI Candidates will be given first preference.
4. Eligibility Criteria for Genuine NRI Candidate is as under:
(i) Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination abroad and is exempt from appearing at JEE.
(ii) Such candidate will have to produce equivalence certificate of qualifying examination from Association of Indian Universities, New‐Delhi.
(iii) Candidate shall produce documentary evidence of own NRI Status in Original.
5. Eligibility Criteria for Sponsored NRI Candidate is as under:
(i) Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination in India and must have appeared at JEE.
(ii) Candidate will have to produce a sponsorship letter from an NRI who will undertake to pay all tuition and other fees for the entire degree program.
(iii) Documentary Evidence of Sponsorer having NRI Status must also be produced.
Last date for the submission of dully filled N R I Quota Admission form for B Tech Program is extended up to 12 th June 2013.
