B. P. Ed. Course 2013 - 2014
Applications are invited from the Graduates of recognized Universities for admission to B. P. Ed. Course for the session 2013-14 in the Dept. of Physical Education, University of Kalyani.
Eligibility: Norm as per latest NCTE notification.
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with 50% marks or Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an Elective Subject with 50% marks or Bachelor Degree with 45% marks and having participated in National or State or Inter-university Sports or Games or Athletics. For deputed in-service candidates (i.e. trained Physical Education teachers/ coaches) Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience. The course is residential. The course is also open for both men and women.
Candidates should possess good physique, sound health and must be proficient in games and sports. Candidates should not be above 30 years as on July 1st, 2013. However, the age may be relaxed up to 32years for the candidates with exceptional achievement in games and sports (Participation in at least National / Inter University Tournaments). Deputed candidates must submit deputation papers in support of deputation from recognized schools duly counter-signed by D.I. of school along with their applications.
Prescribed form for application can be obtained by the candidates in person or through his/her messenger from the office of the Faculty Council on payment of Rs. 300/- for General and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates in the University Cash Counter between 11.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. in week days excepting Saturdays and Holidays. Forms will be issued & received from 01. 01.2013 to 21. 01. 2013.
Application should accompany attested copies of testimonials and two recent passport size photographs taken within six months (one fixed in the application form and the other to be fixed at the space provided in the Admit Card) along with Certificates, Mark Sheets should reach the office of the Faculty Council (PG), Kalyani University on or before 21.01.2013.
Application form incomplete in any respect will be rejected. List of candidates eligible for appearing at the Admission Test and other information, if any, will be published in the NOTICE BOARD of the Admission Section of the Faculty Council’s Office and of the Dept. of Physical Education, University of Kalyani on 06.02.2013. Admission Test Comprising Practical Tests and verification of testimonials will be held during 11 – 14 February, 2013 at the Play Ground & Gymnasium of Kalyani University. List of the selected candidates will be published on 22.02.2013.
