Workshop on Networking, Soft Computing and Multimedia
Organized by Department of Computer Science, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14 September 9-10, 2011
Objectives
The primary objective of this workshop is to understand the emerging trends and technologies in Computer Science and Information Technology. Specifically, the objectives of the workshop include reviewing the emerging areas of Computer Science and Information Technology, experiencing some new technologies hands-on, and finally providing a platform for a group of young scientists consisting of teachers and researchers to network among themselves for future collaboration in various areas.
Target groups
The workshop is open to the faculty and researchers of reputed educational institutions who feel that the theme of the Training Programme is relevant to them.
Workshop Theme
Experts from Gauhati University and some of the reputed educational institutions in and around Guwahati will deliver lectures and hands-on demonstration on some of the following and related topics:
· Computer Networks
· Data Mining
· Fuzzy Mathematics in Computer Science
· Multimedia and Applications
· Network Security
· Web Server Installation and Administration
· Wireless Networks
Call for Participation
Application in the format prescribed herewith may be submitted along with a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs. 400.00 (Rupees four hundred only) in Cash at the Office, Department of Computer Science, Gauhati University within August 25, 2011. Application submitted after the last date will not be accepted.
Limited number of participants will be selected on first-come-first-served basis.
