Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme - 2011

The CCRT is implementing Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme to provide facilities to outstanding young children selected in the age group of 10 to 14 years for developing their talent in various cultural fields such as traditional forms music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture and crafts laying special emphasis on rare art forms.

The Scholarship awarded under the scheme is for two years at a time which is renewable after every two years till the completion of the first University degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years. 520 Scholarships are awarded every year of which 20 are being reserved for specially Challenged children. The value of scholarship is Rs. 3600/- per year and actual tuition fee paid for the specialized training is also reimbursed up to Rs. 9000/- per year. Children whose date of birth is between 01.07.1997 and 30.06.2001 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for the award of scholarships for the year 2011-12.

Tata Innovation Fellowship

Applications are invited for “Tata Innovation Fellowship”, a highly competitive scheme of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

The fellowship is open to Indian Nationals residing in India who are below the age of 60 years.

The amount of the fellowship will be Rs.20,000/- per month in addition to regular salary from the host institute.

In addition, each fellow will receive a contingency grant of Rs. 5,00,000/- per annum for meeting the expenses on consumables, minor equipment, international and domestic travel, manpower and other contingent expenditure to be incurred in connection with the implementation of research project under the fellowship

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT)
invites nominations for National Bioscience Awards for Career Development: 2010 to be given to scientists who are currently engaged in basic and applied research in biosciences & biotechnology including biological, agricultural, medical, and environmental sciences and have made outstanding contributions in research with potential for application/ product and technology development. Each Award carries a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/- alongwith project research grant of Rs.9,00,000/-. The nominee must be a citizen of India including Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and should be below the age of 45 years on December 31, 2010. The work for which nomination is made must have been carried out in India.


i) Any Citizen of India including Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), who is engaged in basic and applied research in the areas of biosciences and biotechnology in the country.

ii) Citizens of India should have made significant and outstanding contribution in the areas of biosciences/biotechnology during last 5 years and the work must have been done entirely in India. In case of OCIs, he/she should have made significant and outstanding contribution in the areas of biosciences/biotechnology while continuously staying and working for a period of 3 years in India or during their stay and work in India in total period of 5 years in piece meal basis over a period of 10 years. The work for which nomination is made must have been carried out in India.

iii) Candidate should submit a research project for advancement of his/her work in India for a period of next 3 years. OCIs have to stay and work in India for implementation of the proposed research project.

iv) He/she should be below the age of 45 years as on 31st December of the year of award.

The Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan under Ministry of H.R.D., Govt.of India was established in 1970 and declared as a Deemed University in 2002 u/s 3 of the UGC Act. All the Programmes offered by Mukta Svādhyāyapī ham are approved by Distance Education Council. Applications are invited for the following programmes of Mukta Svādhyāyapīham.

PRAK-SHASTRI PROGRAMME (Pre-Degree Programme/+2 Vyakarna/ Sahitya/Phalita Jyotisha)
Duration : 2 Years
Eligibility : 10th exam passed with Sanskrit or Equivalent Exam.


Duration : 6 Months
Eligibility : 10th Examination passed or equivalent without Sanskrit, and seeking
admission in Prak-shastri Programme.

SHASTRI (Vyakarana/Sahitya/ Phalita Jyotisha)
Duration : 3 Years
Eligibility : Prak-shastri/Uttar Madhyama or +2/Intermediate with Sanskrit or Equivalent Exam.

Duration : 1 Year
Eligibility : Pass in 12th or equivalent without Sanskrit.

ACHARYA (M.A.) (Vyakarana/Sahitya)
Duration : 2 years
Eligibility : Pass in 3 years degree course or equivalent examination with Sanskrit.

The application form and Prospectus can be obtained from either Headquarters of M.S.P. or the following Svadhyaya Kendras (Study Centres) in person on production of D.D. of Rs.500/- (For SC/ST/PH Rs. 250/-) or through post by sending a D.D. for Rs. 550/- (For SC/ST/PH Rs. 300/-) drawn in favour of "Director, Mukta Svadhyayapeetham, New Delhi". Name, Programme applied for and address should be written on the backside of the D.D. alongwith a request letter.

The Prospectus & Application Form can also be downloaded from Website ( and have to attach a demand draft of Rs.500/- in favour of the "Director, Mukta Svadhyayapeetham, New Delhi" separately other than the Programme Fees. Duly filled application forms are to be submitted in any one of the study centres.
