Applications are invited from post-graduate candidates who have obtained M Sc in any discipline of the sciences/ MBBS/ M Pharma/ M Tech/ MVSc, to work under the mentorship of its faculty as Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) leading to a PhD degree. Candidates should have intense interest to work at the interface of multiple disciplines in the areas related (but not limited) to structural, systems, and chemical biology, biomaterials and nano science & technology, cellular and molecular biology, and disease biology and drug discovery. The fellowship is initially tenable for the duration of two years, and is extendable for three additional years for Senior Research Fellowship after a review. The candidates who have completed their M Sc within past two years and have scored 60% or more marks in their graduate and post-graduate degree examinations are eligible to apply.
Interested candidates may submit their application by filling the application form available on the RCB website (www.rcb.res.in), one page write up of research interests, and a demand draft of Rs. 500/-, in favour of Executive Director, Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Gurgaon-122016. Copy of the application should be sent by registered post to: The Registrar, Regional Centre for Biotechnology, 180 Udyog Vihar Phase I, Gurgaon-122016, India so as to reach by 31st December 2010. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview for final selection in February.
