Applications are invited for admission to the following courses in the University:


[01] M.A. (02 Yrs.) : (1) Hindi (Language Technology), (2) Computational Linguistics (3) Hindi (Comparative Literature), (4) Dramatics & Film Studies [Candidates holding Diploma from the Dramatics or Film institutes of national importance like–National School of Drama or Bhartendu Natya Acadamy will be called for interview without written test] (5) Ahimsa and Peace Studies (6) Women's Studies (7) Mass Media (8) Dalit and Tribal Studies, (9) Buddhist Studies. (10) Anthropology (11) MSW (12) Hindi (Translation Technology)

Eligibility: Bachelors Degree with 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized university / institution (For SC/ST 45%).

[02] Master of Informatics and Language Engineering (MILE) (02 Yrs.)


Eligibility: Bachelors Degree with 50% marks (For SC/ST candidates 45%) in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized university.

[OR]

Graduate from recognized university with 50% marks (for SC/ST 45%) and Diploma in Computer Application/Language Technology.

[03] M.Phil. (01 Year) : (1) Hindi (Language Technology), (2) Hindi (Comparative Literature), (3) Hindi (Translation Technology), (4) Ahimsa and Peace Studies, (5) Women's Studies, (6) Mass Media (7) Anthropology (8) Dalit & Tribal Studies (9) Social Work. (10) Diaspora Studies (subject to availability of Teacher/Faculty).

Eligibility: Masters Degree with 55% marks in concerned subject (for SC/ST 50%) or in any allied/cognate discipline.

[04] Ph.D.:

A) School of Language: Hindi (Language Technology): Seats: 05 (Gen. 03, OBC 01, SC 01)
B) School of Literature: Hindi (Comparative Literature): Seats: 06 (Gen. 03, OBC 02, SC 01)
C) School of Culture: Mass Media: Seats: 06 (Gen. 03, OBC 02, SC 01)
D) School of Translation & Interpretation: Diaspora Studies (subject to availability of Teacher/Faculty): 05 (Gen. 03, OBC 01, SC 01)

Eligibility: Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in the concerned subject or in any allied/cognate discipline

E) School of Language, Informatics and Language Engineering:
Seats: 04 (Gen. 02, OBC 01, SC 01)

Eligibility: Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Computational Linguistics/Language Technology/Translation Technology from any recognised university with knowledge of Programming Language. [OR] Masters Degree with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Linguistics/Applied Linguistics from any recognized university with Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Technology. [OR] M.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. with 55% marks (for SC/ST 50%) in Computer Science/ Information Technology or MILE from any recognized university

Note: M.Phil/Ph.D. admission will be made in accordance with UGC (Minimum standards and procedure for awards of M.Phil/Ph.D degree) Regulation 2009, For eligibility see full details in prospectus. The university will conduct a written test (Except Ph.D.) at various centers (Wardha, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Delhi, Allahabad, Patna, Kolkata). All selected candidates in written test will be called for interview at Wardha. If the Number of applicants is less than the required at any centre chosen by the candidate, the candidates of such centers have to appear for the written test at Wardha. No TA/DA will be paid for attending written test/ Interactive Session/Group-Discussion/Interview. Written test, Interactive Session/Group Discussion and Interview for Ph.D. will be conducted at Wardha centre only

Date of Interactive Session/Group Discussion/Interview for Ph.D. at Wardha : 29, 30 June, 2010

The prospectus along with application form may be obtained from the office of Deputy Registrar (Academic), Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Gandhi Hills, Wardha–442 001 (Maharashtra) by post by sending a D.D. of Rs.250/- (For SC/ST/PH Rs.150/-) in favour of 'Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya' payable at Wardha or by paying in cash Rs.200/-(For SC/ST/PH Rs.100/-) at university cash counter. Candidates applying for more than one course should submit separate D.D. for each course. The application form is also available on University Website: www.hindivishwa.org. While submitting the down-loaded application form candidates should enclose a D.D. of Rs.200/- (For SC/ST/PH Rs.100/-) along with the applications
