CITIZENSHIP: Indian Nationals.

Only those whose date of birth falls on or before 31.12.93 are eligible to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and a minimum of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.


Admissions are done on the basis of rank in an all India EPSI National Admission Test (ENAT 2010).
NOTE: Only candidates who have secured minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in ENAT 2010 will be considered for admissions to MBBS course.

FOREIGN/NRI CATEGORY: Admissions under this category are handled by a separate office.

Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI category. Change of category from Foreign/NRI to General after admission will not be entertained under any circumstances.

GOVERNMENT CATEGORY: A few MBBS seats are reserved for candidates selected and sponsored by Karnataka Examinations Authority(KEA), Government of Karnataka, Bangalore.

ENAT 2010

Applicable to MBBS course

The test duration is of 2.30 hours and consists of 240 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type. The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Physics - 60 questions, Chemistry - 60 questions, Biology - 80 questions, English & General Aptitude - 40 questions.


The test papers in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General English includes questions based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards/Universities. CLICK HERE for ENAT syllabi.

Based on the marks obtained in ENAT 2010, Manipal University will declare the merit list of all candidates who have appeared for the entrance test. The merit list will be displayed on or before 25.05.10 in the website. In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the order of preference as under:

Admission notice for MD/MS -2010

An entrance test on all India basis will be held on 21st February 2010 at VARANASI for admission to MD/MS courses for the year 2010. The subjects and category wise distribution of seats will be notified later on the BHU & IMS websites ( Eligibility: MBBS (MCI recognized) with one year rotating internship completed by 30‐4‐2010. Those who have passed MD/MS in any subject are not eligible. Application form can be either downloaded from BHU or IMS websites free of cost ( ) or can be obtained from the Office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U. Varanasi‐221005 from 12.12.2009 by sending a self addressed unstamped envelope (24 X 30 cm) and a DD (MICR only) of Rs 100.00 drawn in favor of “Director, IMS, BHU”, payable at Varanasi (by post till 31.12.2009 and in person till 09.01.2010). Envelope for the formrequest by post should be marked as “MD/MS FORM‐REQUEST”.

Duly completed application form (all the four pages) including 3 photographs and the applicable application fee must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 09.01.2010

The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST for admission to MBBS course (84 seats) in TWO stages: PMT-2010 SCREENING and PMT-2010 MAIN, and for BDS (38 seats), BAMS (78 seats) and B. Pharm. (33 seats) courses in ONE stage: PMT-2010 Screening. PMT-2010 SCREENING shall be held on Wednesday, the 12th May 2010 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to appear in PMT-2010 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 13th June 2010 at Varanasi Centre only. For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm. courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2010 SCREENING only.

QUALIFICATIONS - Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; (i) For MBBS/BDS/BAMS – a minimum of 50% for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates; (ii) For B.Pharm. – a minimum of 60% marks for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

M.B.B.S.(84 seats) : General - 42; OBC – 23; SC – 13 and ST – 6; BDS (38 seats): General – 19; OBC – 10; SC – 6 and ST – 3; BAMS (78 seats) : General – 36; Foreign National – 3; OBC – 21; SC – 12 and ST – 6; B.Pharm. (33 seats): General – 17; OBC – 9; SC – 5 and ST – 2. Three percent seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (PC) candidates in all the categories of the above courses.

Application form will be sent by Speed / Registered Post. However, Institute will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay. The request for application form must include the name and address of the candidate, and full particulars of the enclosed DD/BC (write candidate’s name and address on the back of DD). Two self-addressed, preferably typed, white paper slips of 10 cm ´ 6 cm size MUST also accompany it. The ENVELOP containing requisition for PMT application form should be super scribed “Request for Application for PMT-2010, BHU”. Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is Friday, the 19th February 2010. Incomplete/non-cashable Draft (under amount/unsigned/ without Bank Code No. & Seal) shall not be accepted. NOTE: (a) Separate Bank Draft will be required for each application form. (b) M.O./I.P.O./Cheques shall NOT be accepted under any circumstances. Application Forms from the Office of the Director (PMT-Cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, can be obtained by POST only and not in person. Application form duly completed must be sent through Registered Post so as to reach THE DIRECTOR (PMT CELL), INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, VARANASI-221 005 latest by TUESDAY, the 9th March 2010 till 5.00 PM. Application forms received after the last date shall not be accepted. Foreign Nationals are not required to appear in the PMT examination for MBBS/BAMS course. The Summer University program is open to senior undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the Aligarh Muslim University and its affiliated institutions. Students from other universities are also welcome, but special permission would be required. All students who wish to attend should register by writing to: . This is a free educational program offered by the alumni of the Aligarh Muslim University to enhance the education of Aligarh students and to provide educational advice. Depending on the enrolment in individual courses, lectures will be given either in the Zoology Lecture Theatre or Seminar Room from 2:00 - 5:00 PM each day. The program is run on western standards of punctuality, informality, and academic ethics; it will not be affected by holidays or other events in Aligarh. Scholarship Notice, LPU

Lovely Professional University

All the freshman (Student of 2009 Batch) who have been admitted under Scholarship category were supposed to get the benefit of scholarship subject to scoring 8.0 CGPA in each term.

However it was felt that University Environment, culture and academic policies are a new exposure to the students. Considering the same, University, as a special gesture, has decided not to consider the CGPA scored in first term to award the scholarship for the second term. So all those admitted under scholarship category will get the benefit of scholarship in the fee of second term and they will deposit the fee after deducting scholarship amount from total applicable fee.

All other conditions for the scholarship will remain same as circulated earlier.
