was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 8th May 2000 vide Act No. 1248(2)XVII-V-I-I-19-2000 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 23 of 2000. Under the University Act, 'Technical Education' includes programmes of education, research and training in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Applied Arts & Crafts and such other programmes and areas that the central Government may in consultation with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) by notification in Gazette declare.

Applications are invited for admission to M.Com [Insurance and Bank Management] degree programme for the academic year 2009-10 to be offered at University College, Hampankatta, Mangalore as an Evening Programme (6 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.)

College, Madikeri-571 201 or NSS Co-ordinator, Govt. College, Thenkanidiyoor, on payment of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST and Cat-I on production of Caste Certificate) in person or by post on payment of Rs.350/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST and Cat-I) through Challan/ D.D. in favour of the Finance Officer, Mangalore University along with a self-addressed envelope (40 x 17 cm.) with the name of the course and the subject superscribed on the cover.

Eligibility for Admission:
Candidates who have passed the three year B.Com/ B.B.M. degree examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto with Accounting/ Finance/ Banking/ Insurance as one of the subjects are eligible for the programme provided they have secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category- I candidates) marks in aggregate in all the subjects excluding languages and group III subjects.

Note: Those who have already enrolled for a degree programme of this University or any other University are not eligible to apply.

Admission Notice to MBA (Banking & Finance) Programme – January 2010 IGNOU-IIBF Collaboration Programme

The MBA (Banking & Finance) Programme, specifically designed for Bankers, is offered through countrywide network of Study Centres of IGNOU. Developed collaboratively by School of Management Studies, IGNOU and the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), Mumbai, the Programme uses standard IGNOU multi-media design and technology aided delivery systems. The University announces admissions to the MBA (Banking & Finance) Programme for the session starting from January, 2010.

Eligibility: In order to seek admission to this Programme, a candidate should: (a) be a graduate of a recognized University, (b) have passed the CAIIB examinations of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, Mumbai and awarded the requisite qualification/credentials thereof by the Institute, and (c) have been working in the Banking or Financial Service Sector for a period of at least two years.

‘Student Handbook & Prospectus 2010’ can be obtained from Registrar, Student Registration Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110 068 or from any of the IGNOU Regional Centres whose addresses are listed in the website, in person on payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in cash or through post by sending an IPO/Demand Draft of Rs.550/- (Rupees Five Hundred Fifty only) drawn in favour of ‘IGNOU’ payable at the city from where the Prospectus is requested.
