In Person: Application forms can be obtained by submitting Challan/ DD between 11.00 AM and 4.30 PM from the University Headquarters at Road No.46, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad – 500 033 on all working days OR at the RCC listed above between 11.00AM and 4.30 P.M. on all working days except Mondays and Tuesday immediately following the Second Saturday. For B.H.M. programme applications are available at Programme Centres also.

a) Challan can be taken at identified S.B.H. Branches.
b) DD shall be drawn in favour of “THE REGISTRAR, DR.BRAOU, HYDERABAD” with Candidates Name on any Nationalized Bank. Cash will not be accepted.

By Post: The application can also be obtained from the Director, Student Services Branch, Road No.46, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad - 500 033 by sending a crossed Demand Draft for the cost of the application form plus Rs.30/- towards postage.

Submission of filled in Application Forms: For BHM Shall be submitted at RCCs/ Programme Centres and for MBA shall be submitted in person at the University Campus or by post to the Director, Student Services Branch, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Open University, Road No.46, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad–500 033 on or before the last date.

Note: 1. Students who couldn’t complete M.B.A.Programme within the maximum period prescribed and wish to take re-admission are requested to obtain the details from the head quarters. Readmission will be given as per the rules and regulations of the University.

2. Students who completed MBA with One Specialization from Dr.BRAOU and wish to do it with another specialization can obtain application form from their respective Study Centres by submitting a crossed DD for Rs. 100/- drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of “The Registrar, Dr. BRAOU, Hyderabad with the name of the student”. Last date for sale & submission of application form is 30.09.2009.

For admissions to M.Tech. (Atmospheric Science) the department conducts an entrance examination during the month of June/ July every year.


Qualifying Exam.

1. Any M.Sc., with Physics and Mathematics as one subject at B.Sc. level.

2. Any B.E./ B.Tech. with Physics and Mathematics as one of the subject at B.E. / B.Tech. level.

Minimum Percentage Required


55% marks at M.Sc. or 4.5 GPA on a 6 point scale or 6.0 GPA on a 10 point scale.

60% marks in aggregate at B.E/ B.Tech. or 5 GPA on a 6 point scale or 6.5 GPA on a 10 point


A relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 GPA will be considered at qualifying exams for reserved candidates who are domiciles of Maharashtra.

The Institute aims to create skills and knowledge to make its graduates to serve in hotels, restaurants, guest houses, hospitals, catering houses of airlines, railways, shipping companies, government tourism departments, tourism industry in private sector besides providing opportunities of self-employment. The courses being introduced are:

(i) B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration -

(ii) B.Sc. in Tourism Management - 30 seats

Internship for two months has been incorporated on pattern of professional courses like medicine/engineering and B.EI.Ed of Delhi University. Emphasis is laid on activities related with life skills which will not only boost self confidence, communication skills and other affective traits but will provide a strong platform for other courses and to help promote a productivity towards such life learning outcomes to prepare a teacher will be knowledgeable, competent, professional, skilled and at the same time a good human being and a good citizen.

RRC-cum-Department of community Education & Development

Admission is open for two year M.A. Course (semester system) in Community Education & Development in the Department of Community Education & Development. Being an interdisciplinary course this aims at enabling the students to understand the issues pertaining to Community Development and its various perspectives at the global as well as at the national level. The course will further provide an opportunity to the students to work in collaboration with public, private, social and corporate sectors. Total number of seats are 25. Students with Graduation Degree in any discipline with 50% marks are eligible to apply for admission in the course.
