The Governor is pleased to accord admission to the B.Tech. courses under tuition fee waiver scheme for Women, economically and physically handicapped meritorious students, as per the Punjab Govt. Notification No. 13/60/08-ITE2/3797, dated 27.08.2008. The counseling for admission shall be held as per the following schedule: Only Residents of Punjab (in terms of Punjab Government Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP II Branch) letter No. 1/3/95-3PPII/9619m dated 6th June 1996) will be eligible for admission under this scheme.

· Under Economically Backward category, family income of parents of applicant should not be more than 2.5 Lacs per annum. Applicant should submit Income Certificate issued only by the concerned Tehsildar/Executive Magistrate with office number and seal. No other certificate / affidavit etc. shall be accepted.

· The applicant should submit Certificate of Physically Handicapped as per the Punjab Govt. guidelines.

· The applicant must present himself/herself in person at the time of counselling and deposit fee Rs. 8500/-, Rs.7500/- (approx.) for Hosteller and Day-Scholar respectively, if the family income of the applicant is up to Rs.2.50 Lakh. Rs. 23,000/- (approx.) be deposited, if family income is above Rs. 2.50 Lakh at the time of admission (for dayscholars).

· Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Maths as compulsory subjects and Chemistry / Biologoy / Computer Sc. as optional subject in addition to CET merit (CET- 2009) will be considered for this admission.

· The applicants should come with original certificates at the time of admission.

Application are invited for admission to the MBA Full Time (2 years) course

Eligibility : Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor’s degree/ equivalent examination can also apply. Such candidates must produce a certificate from the Principal/Head of the Department/ Registrar/Director of the university/ institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 60% marks or equivalent in credit & grade system. 55% or equivalent credit & grade system in case of the candidates belonging to scheduled caste/Scheduled Tribe or Persons with Disability category) based on latest available grades/ marks. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally only if they submit a certificate latest by 30th June 2009 from the Principal/Registrar of their college / institute (issued on or before 30th June 2009) stating that they have completed all the requirements (the results may, however, be awaited) for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate. Their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the mark sheet and a certificate of having passed the bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification referred to in the certificate issued by Principal/Registrar of their college/institute. The deadline for submission of the mark sheet and the certificate is 31st July 2009. Non - fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Admission Procedure : Candidates applying for MBA are required to have appeared in CAT-2008. The admission to MBA will be on the basis of CAT score. Form can also be procured from the institute by sending a self addressed stamped envelop. Photocopy of score card CAT-2008 & Mark Sheet of Bachelor’s degree of final year should attached with the application form and the original certificate should be submitted at the time of admission.

Sponsored candidate will be selected through institute test. Sponsored candidates should have atleast two years experience after graduation in Government/Semi Government organization/private industry of repute.

The list of selected candidates will be made available in the Institute website in Second week of July, 2009. No individual information will be sent.

Reservation : The reservation (SC/ST/OBC/PH) will be as per Govt. of India norms. Candidates belonging to (SC/ST/OBC/PH) categories are advised to enclose attested photocopy of their caste/category certificate at the time of submission of application.

Submission of Form : The application forms completed in all respects should be submitted by 30th June, 2009 with crossed IPO/Band draft of Rs. 800/- payable to “MANIT, Bhopal” for general/OBC candidates (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST candidates) to Asstt. Note:

1. For M.Tech. / MUDP Admission: Candidates possessing. appropriate degree with a minimum 60% (6.0 in credit and grade system) marks in final Year of their qualifying degree & 55% (5.0 in credit and grade system) for SC/ST category candidates.

2. Gate qualified candidates admitted in above mentioned M.Tech full time courses will be given stipend as per GOI norms.

3. The reservation (SC/ST/OBC/PH/etc.) will be as per GOI norms.

4 The admission to all M.Tech. programmes will be on the basis of All India Examinations such as GATE. As far as remaining seats are concerned, Internal Test/UG percentage shall be the basis of merit.

5 Candidates appearing for Final Year Examination may also apply but they should submit their result at the time of admission.

6 Sponsored and non Gate candidates (if GATE candidates are not available) for M.Tech. will be selected only through Institute test/ UG percentage. For admission to sponsored seats, the candidates should have alteast two years experience in Governemnt/Semi Government organization/ AICTE recognized engineering college/ Reputed private industry.

7 The application forms completed in all respects should be submitted up to 30th June, 2009 with a crossed IPO/Bank Draft of Rs. 400/- payable to “MANIT, Bhopal” for General/OBC candidates (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidates) to Asstt.
