The English Literary Society, operating under the Outreach Programme, JMI in association with the Ministry of Home Affairs invites entries for an Essay Competition from the bona fide students of Jamia Millia Islamia under the following two categories: Jamia Schools and Jamia University. The details are as follows:
Topic: “The test of courage comes when we are in the minority. The test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority.”
Word Limit: 3000-5000 Words (University Students)
1500-3000 Words (Jamia Schools)
Eligibility:
School: Students of Class IX to XII of Jamia Schools
University: All the bona fide students of the university
Prizes: School-
I Prize – Rs.1000/-
II Prize – Rs. 600/-
III Prize – Rs. 400/-
Prizes: University- I Prize – Rs.5000/-
II Prize – Rs.3000/-
III Prize – Rs.2000/-
Last Date of Submission – 31th August 2009
All the entries, neatly handwritten or printed, with proper cover page giving details of the participant (Name, Class, Department/Centre, Faculty and Category) must be sent to the Office of the undersigned before the due date.
