Entrance Test for MBA/MCA(FYIC) Session-2009-2010

Applications are invited for Entrance Test for admission to MBA/MCA (FYIC)(session 2009-2010) latest by 22.6.2009 till 5.00 p.m. The Entrance Test will be held on 30 June, 2009. Prospectus is available from GNDU Campus/GNDU College, Jalandhar / College Mukandpur.

Eligibility: Eligibility For admission to these courses, the candidate should have secured not less than 50% marks either in +2 examination of Punjab School Education Board or in 3 years diploma course of State Technical Education Board or in any equivalent examination to the above-mentioned +2 examination or diploma. Any degree/diploma from a fake university (as notified by the UGC) shall not be considered at all as basis/eligibility for the admission. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination can also appear in the Entrance Test. However, they shall be considered for admission only on proof of acquisition of requisite qualification at the time of interview / counselling. The candidature of such candidates shall be provisional and shall stand cancelled if they fail to possess the required qualification by that date.

Submission of Application Form

The application shall be submitted on the prescribed application form filled in candidate's own handwriting alongwith the following documents :

1. Attested photostat copy of matriculation or equivalent examination certificate bearing testimony to date of birth.

2. Detailed marks card of the qualifying examination or evidence of having appeared in the same.

3. Demand Draft of Rs. 800/- (400/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in favour of Registrar, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar payable at Amritsar. The applicant must mention his/her name and address on the backside of the bank draft.

4.
Four recent passport size duly attested photographs of the candidate. One photograph each must be pasted on the prescribed space on the Application Form, the Admit Card and the Attendance Slip with glue. The fourth photograph should be securely tagged with the Application form.

5. Character Certificate from the Principal of the college/school last attended.

6. Domicile Certificate wherever applicable.

7.a. Appropriate reserved category certificate, if any, issued by the competent authority as per specimen given in the prospectus.

b. Under no circumstances, the proof of belonging to a particular reserved category shall be entertained after the expiry of the due date notified for receipt of applications.

c. All admissions made in the reserved categories will be provisional and liable to cancellation, if at any stage, any information about reserved categories furnished by the candidate in the admission form is found to be fabricated or false. Application Form shall be considered only if it is accompanied by full examination fee and other documents.

Incomplete application forms or those which are received after the due date shall not be entertained.

Application form with a late fee of Rs. 1000/- can be submitted even one day before the date of Entrance Test. In such case the candidate will have to collect his/her Roll No. slip personally.

Those who submit the application form by hand shall be issued Roll Number slip on the spot. Persons in employment are not eligible for admission.
