B.Sc.(Hons) Biomedical Science
The B.Sc.(Hons) Biomedical Science course is being run by three colleges of University of Delhi namely Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, Acharya Narendra Dev College and Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences. The course of Biomedical Science covers various areas like Genetics, Human Physiology, Pharmacy, Biophysics, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Pathology, Medical Laboratory Techniques, Social and Preventive Medicine, Medical Biotechnology, Medicinal Chemistry, Medical Biochemistry and Toxicology. The students of this course can actively pursue research in Biotechnology, Clinical Research, Molecular Biochemistry, Pharmaceuticals, Drug Designing and Bioinformatics. They can also pursue MBA programme and go for cooperate jobs, They can also join R&D Unit of Pharmaceutical industries.
The entrance examination for this course (2009-2010) is being coordinated by Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, Jhilmil Colony, Vivek Vihar, Delhi- 110095. The forms would be sold in all the three colleges from Monday to Saturday between Ist to 15th June 2009. The prospectus cost is Rs.50/- and the admission fee for the entrance examination is Rs.300/-. After the entrance examination the merit list of the candidates would be notified for admissions. The fee for SC/ST students is Rs.150/- . All the forms duly completed should be submitted to Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women latest by 15th June 2009. No late forms will be accepted. The date of entrance examination is 28th June 2009 between 9.30 a.m to 12.00 Noon.
