Panjab University has set up University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism
B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration and B.Sc. in Tourism
Panjab University, Chandigarh has set up a new institute, University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism (UIHMT) to start two new courses B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration and B.Sc. in Tourism from the academic sessions 2009-10 on its campus. The students who have qualified 10+2 examination with any subject combination are eligible to seek admission in these courses. Admission will be through aptitude test, which will be conducted by UIHMT.
There are 60 seats in the course of Hospitality and Hotel Administration and 30 seats are in the course of Tourism according to Prof. Lalit K.
