ELIGIBILITY: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering,Architecture, Management, Physical Sciences,Geography, Planning, Law, or Social Sciences,with some inclination towards habitat related issues/ sectors.

1. A Bachelor’s Degree of candidate must be of a minimum three years duration or its equivalent (under the pattern 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized University.

2. Candidates who will complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor’s Degree examinations by Saturday, June 20, 2009. In such cases, admission to any of the Master’s Degree Programmes of the Institute will be provisional. If a provisionally admitted student fails in the final year examination, the offer of provisional admission automatically stands cancelled.

APPLICATION FORMS AND INFORMATION BROCHURE:
By sending a request letter to the Deputy Registrar, TISS, along with a DD for Rs.1,000/- drawn in favour of “Tata Institute Of Social Sciences, Mumbai”, payable at Mumbai. OR From the cash counter at TISS, Mumbai against minimum cash payment of Rs. 1,000/- OR By downloading from www.tiss.edu (to be completed and submitted with a DD for Rs. 1,000/-)

Unemployed SC and ST Candidates, whose parents/guardian’s income were Rupees One Lakh or below for financial year 2007-2008 can obtain the Application Form at free of cost. They can download the form from website: www.tiss.edu and submit it along with the true copy of Caste / tribe Certificate and the Income Certificate or they can send a request letter along with the true copy of Caste/tribe Certificate and the Income Certificate and Self addressed A-4 sized cloth-lined envelop to the Deputy Registrar, TISS.

RESERVATION:
Government of India norms will be applicable for admission of SC, ST, OBC, persons with Disability (PWD) and International Students. Only limited number of hostel seats and scholarships are available.

Selection procedure: Selection will be through written test and an interview for candidates who qualify in the written test.
