Foreign / NRI applicants can apply by submitting valid GMAT scores (taken not later than October 2008). NRI applicants residing in India during July-December 2008 will have to appear in CAT.

Final selection will be based on the performance in the CAT/GMAT and subsequent group discussion/simulation exercise and personal interview.

Application Fee: Th MDI Prospectus and Application Forms are available on cash payment of Rs. 1600/- (including Application Processing Fee) Applicants Wanting to obtain Application Form by post will have to send a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 1750/- Foreign /NRI applicant can obtain the Application Form and bulletin by sending a Demand Draft of either US $100/- or Rs. 4550/- or on cash payment of Rs. 4500/- at MDI Counter. The Demand Draft should be in favour of "Management Development Institute" payable at New Delhi. Along with the demand draft, the applicants requesting forms by post & Online applicants should also send 2 self adhesive stickers with their address and telephone numbers written thereon. The choice of programme should be written clearly on the envelope enclosing the demand draft. Prospectus once sold will not be taken back.

Eligibility: Minimum of 3 years Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities /AICTE as eligible for Post Graduate Studies in Management. Candidates completing all requirements, for obtaining the Bachelor' s Degree by 30th June 2009 can also apply subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1st October 2009.

Additional requirement for NMP: Minimum 5 years of Post qualification executive (Class 1 or Officer Grade) work experience is also required.

Invites Applications for Admission to the PGDBA 2009-11

Eligibility: Graduate in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE will be eligible for Post Graduate Studies with minimum 50% marks. All candidates have to take Common Admission Test (CAT) which will be held on 16th November 2008

Admission Procedure: Candidates must register with CIMP by submitting the CIMP application form alongwith a DD of Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 500/- for candidates belongs to SC/ST) in favour of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna.

The Last Date for submitting the form is 12th December 2008.

Admissions to Post Graduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM) leading to Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM-C) 2009 - 2011


Admissions to the PGDM-C programme requires a Bachelor's degree (in keeping with the 10 + 2 + 3 (4) system) with minimum 50% marks or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates appearing for the final examination towards a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

Students with demonstrable aptitude for expressing, assessing or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, will stand better chances of being shortlisted.

Selection Procedure

The selection process for the PGDM-C involves three steps:

Stage - I

Candidates have to apply on the basis of CAT 2008 or GMAT (Score of 31 December 2006 or later).

Indian students can also apply with GMAT scores.

The CAT cut-off percentile for the 2009-2011 batch.

MICA will shortlist candidates with over all 90 percentile in CAT and with sectional cut off of 50 percentile and above in DI & QT. For verbal comprehension, sectional cut off will be 60 percentile.

GMAT score of 600+ can also be considered in lieu of CAT.

Stage - II
MICA Admissions Test (MICAT)

Candidates shortlisted from CAT/GMAT will be invited to appear for the MICAT, which will be conducted in Feburary / March at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. The MICAT is designed to assess analytical and divergent thinking, written communication skills and familarity with the Indian ethos.

Note: The Institute reserves the right to change any interview centre without assigning any reason.

Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of MICAT will be invited for Group Excercise and Personal Interview at MICA campus, Ahmedabad later in February / March 2009.
