Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Assistant Commandants and Yantrik in the Indian Coast Guard for course commencing Jan/Jul and Aug 2009 for Assistant Commandants at Naval Academy, INS Zamorin, Ezhimala, Kerala and Yantrik at INS Chilka.
(1) Eligibility:
Asst Commandant (General Duty):
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline of a recognised university by the central / State Government / UGC with Mathematics and Physics as subject up to 12th Std of 10+2+3 scheme of education.
Age: * Born between (01 Jul 84 to 30 Jun 88)
Asst Commandant (General Duty - Pilot)
Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree of a recognised university Central/State Government / UGC with Math and Physics as subjects during graduation.
Age: Born between (01 Jul 82 to 30 Jun 90)
Asst Commandant General duty for Commercial Pilot Licensee (CPL) holders for short service:
Educational Qualification: 12th class passed or equivalent and should possess current commercial pilot License (CPL) on the date of submission of application
Age: Born between (01 Jul 82 to 30 Jun 90)
Asst Commandant Technical Branch (Engineering and Electrical)
(1) Degree in naval architecture / marine / mechanical / electrical / telecommunication & electronics / design / production / aeronautical / Control Electrical) Engineering or equivalent qualification disciplines in any of the above recognised by All India Institute of Engineers or Marine Engineering graduates of IMET Kolkata.
(2) Possession of Government of India, Ministry of Surface Transport Certificate of Competency as 1st Class Engineer of Motorship or other similar certificate recognised by the Government or
(3) Possesses final examination certificate of the college of Marine Engineering under the Department of Surface Transport, Government of India, or
(4) Have passed section 'A' & 'B" of institute of Engineers (India) Examination in any of disciplines listed at sl. no. (1)
Age: Born between (01 Jul 79 to 30 Jun 88)
Yantrik
Education Qualification: Matriculate with three year Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical / Electronics Engg. Recognised by AICTE
Age: Born between (01 Jul 87 to 01 Jul 91)
* The upper are limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
(2) Last date for Receipt of Application:
(a) For Assistant Commandants: 31 Dec 08 (b) For Yantrik: 06 Jan 09
