Dr. Veer Singh, Professor Emeritus has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University

Dr. Veer Singh, Professor Emeritus, Department of Laws, Panjab University has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University (NALSAR), Hyderabad for a period of five years. He has taken over his assignment at Hyderabad today. A notification to this effect issued by the Registrar, NALSAR University has been received by the Dept. of Laws. The notification states “In exercise of powers conferred under Section 17 of the NALSAR University Act, 1998 (Andhra Pradesh Act 34 of 1998), the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court and Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad has appointed Prof. Dr.) Veer Singh as Vice - Chancellor of the University for a term of Five (5) years with effect from 21st July 2008”. Professor Veer Singh joined Panjab University in 1970 and has held prominent positions including Dean University Instruction and Chairperson, Department of Laws. He also remained Director, National Law Institute, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Director, Army Law School, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali
and Professor of Laws at Rayat and Bahra Institute.
