Objective and details of the course
Research in the field of Algorithms is reaching new frontiers. Algorithms are at the core of any computer software. Due to increase in heterogeneity, size and complexity of the problems the need of efficient algorithms is increasing in all areas of applications. The objective of the program is to update and enhance the knowledge in the. It will also give an insight into the latest developments in the field of algorithms. This will also help participants to learn about the latest research going on in the field of algorithms and also the new teaching methodologies that can be used to teach the subject. Program will cover data structures, algorithm analysis techniques, algorithm design techniques, intelligent algorithms, approximation algorithms and other latest developments in the area of algorithms. The Program will be inclusive and exhaustive. Course will have experts from the field of algorithms to have a deep look at specific topics.
Eligibility/TA/DA/Boarding/Lodging
Teachers/Scientists working in AICTE/UGC/Govt. of India approved institutes or organizations are eligible to apply. Participants from Industry are also welcome.
Boarding & Lodging will be arranged free of cost in the newly constructed PG hostel having all the basic facilities. All the candidates will be entitled for the 2nd Class train/bus fare of the shortest route on production of actual tickets. The candidates who wish to travel in the higher class will be paid the 2nd class fair and they may get the difference fair from their parent institutions.
Registration/Payments
A Registration fee of Rs. 1000/- has to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft (DD) in favor of “ISTE-STTP-LAAAD-2008” payable at Patiala. The last date of registration is 20th May 2008.
