Entrance Test for Admission to 2 Years B.Ed. Course (Through Correspondence) for 'In Service Teachers'

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE ENTRANCE TEST
1. Admission is open only to the in-service teachers working in Govt./Semi- Govt./ recognised /affiliated schools and other Govt. Agencies which are approved by the N.C.T.E. and are situated in Punjab or the Union Territory, Chandigarh, having a minimum of two years regular teaching experience upto submission of Entrance Test Form.
2. The candidate must have passed :
(a) B.A. (Full subjects)/B.Sc./B.Com./or its equivalent examination with at
least 45% marks (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates).
OR
(b) M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./M.Sc. (Hons. School) with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates).
OR
(c) Diploma in Rural Service (3 years course) from National Council for Rural Higher Education, Ministry of Education with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates).
(d) B.A. Degree of a recognised University through M.I.L. capacity with two elective subjects and English and having secured at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates). Those who have passed B.A. in M.I.L. capacity with English only are not eligible for B.Ed. Entrance Test.
Note : 1. Any candidate possessing even a fraction less than the above mentioned percentage will not be considered.
2. In case additional subject/subjects have been passed subsequent to B.A./B.Sc. degree, then the aggregate of marks shall be calculated by taking into account the marks obtained in English and any other two elective or additional subjects to the best advantage of the candidates.
How To Apply:
The Prospectus can be obtained from the Enquiry & information Centre located at Punjabi university Main Gate on payment of Rs. 500/- at the counter or by registered post from the department of Correspondence Courses by sending Demand draft crossed as "& Co." for Rs. 560/- in favour of Head, Deptt. of Correspondence Courses, Punjabi university, Patiala alongwith self addressed envelope (12" * 10" size) written there on "B.Ed Entrance test Form"
Application form for Entrance Test complete in all respects must reach the
Co-ordinator, B.Ed (CC) Entrance test Cell.

In this case two separate demand draft for the cost of the prospectus (Rs. 500/-) and the Entrance test fee Rs. 600/- (Rs. 500/- in case of SC/ST/Physically Handicapped) drawn in favour of head Correspondence Courses, Punjabi university, Patiala, should be attached with the form downloaded from the website.
