MEDICAL COMMON ENTRANCE TEST – ASSO CET – 2008

Common Entrance Test (ASSO CET 2008) will be held on Sunday 4th May 2008 for the academic year 2008-2009 for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BPTh, BOTh & BSc- Nursing Courses in the State Of Maharashra.

Application Forms and information brochure for ASSO CET 2008 for admission to 1st Year MBBS, BDS, BAMS BPTh, BOTh & BSc- Nursing Courses will be available at Private Medical and Dental Colleges and other notified centers given on website of amupmdc from 1st March 2008 to 31st March 2008 on payment of Rs. 500/- by DD. Applications forms will also be available from AMUPMDC office by post with an additional DD of Rs. 100/- for Postal charges. Applications Forms will also be available from selected Branches of Punjab National bank on payment of Rs. 500/- in Cash.
The Fee for Examination is Rs. 1500/- payable by DD. All DD’s are to be drawn in favour of “AMUPMDC” and payable at Mumbai.

The Brochure & Exam fee is to paid by using Credit Card /ITZ Cash Card/ NET Banking facility. All the health Science Colleges are affiliated to Maharashtra University of health Sciences, Nashik. All the Medical Colleges are approved by Medical council of India, dental colleges by dental Council of India other Health Science by their respective Central Councils

Eligibility Criteria for qualifying Examination for various courses:-

(1) For MBBS and BAMS :
A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination. A Candidates belonging to Reserved Category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.

(2) For BDS and B.Sc. Nursing:-
A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.
A Candidates belonging to Reserved Category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.

(3) For BPTh, BOTh passing at Std. XII or HSC or equivalent examination is necessary.

(a) No rounding off of the marks secured by the candidate will be done in individual subject or final total while converting marks of the individual subject out of 100 or total marks out of 300. For example, if the total of the marks in three subjects comes to 149 out of 300, percentage comes to 49.66 that will not qualify the candidate.
(b) The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC or equivalent in March/April–2008 are also eligible to appear for Asso-CET 2008, provided they must fulfill the eligibility conditions.
(c) The eligibility conditions may vary in accordance with Judicial Pronouncements and orders issued by appropriate Authorities from time to time.
