PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management)

(A). Management Programmes

(A). Management Programmes

Eligibility for Management Programmes


Candidates seeking admission to the PGDM programme shall be required to possess a bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline with 50 % marks in aggregate of a University or equivalent thereto (45 % for SC/ST/PH). Reservation for SC, ST and Physically handicapped candidates will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates appearing for the final examination are also eligible to apply, provided they complete it by December 31, 2008. In case candidate fails to establish eligibility by this date, the admission would be cancelled and fees will be forfeited.

Admission Process and important dates

Admission to the programme shall be through an admission process of 100 points. A weight of 70% shall be for the performance in IITTM Admission Test. Another 15% points each are for Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) respectively. Merit for admission to the programme shall be determined by the institute.

1. Apply to IITTM latest by April 4, 2008 with admission fees of Rs. 700/- (500/- in case of SC/ST) through a demand draft payable to Director-IITTM, payable at Gwalior. Application form filled in every respect should reach, Chairman-Admission, Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Govindpuri, Gwalior (M.P)- 474 011, India.

2. A prospective student should appear for IITTM Admission Test on May 11, 2008. Or send the score of CAT conducted by IIMs in November 2007 along with filled-in
application form. Written test will consist of sections on English ability, Quantitative ability, Reasoning and Awareness of national and global issues. The test shall be conducted at Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, New Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Guwahati, Patna, Mumbai, Kolkata and Jaipur. There will be a total of 200 questions to be answered in 150 minutes. Wrong answers shall carry negative marks.

3. Short-listed students will have to appear for GD and PI during June 16-19, 2008 to be conducted at Gwalior, Bhubaneswar and New Delhi.

4. Declaration of result by June 21, 2008.

5. Admission by July 18, 2008.

6. Commencement of teaching by July 28, 2008.
