Details of eligibility, qualifications, availability of programmes, admission procedure and other relevant information are available in the Information Brochure (will be available on website www.niper.gov.in/niperjee2013.html). Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PH and Kashmiri Migrant (KM) candidates is as per Government of India norms.

Applicants shall fill the registration form online by registering on www.niper.gov.in/niperjee2013.html as per instructions given on the website. The process of online registration shall commence on 1st June 2013 and will continue till 13th June 2013, 5.00 P.M. However, before registration, applicants shall have to remit registration fee of Rs. 1500 (Rs. 750 for SC/ST) through:-

a) Online transfer to Account Number 65116506648 (NIPER Net Banking Account of State Bank of Patiala, NIPER Campus Branch, Sector-67, Mohali, Branch Code No. 51018; IFSC No. STBP0001018).

b) Applicants can also transfer registration fee by depositing it in any branch of State Bank of Patiala across the country into the Account Number 65129619046 (NIPER Fee Account) of State Bank of Patiala, NIPER Campus Branch, Sector-67, Mohali (Branch Code No. 51018). Applicants shall fill “Fee Deposit Slips” in triplicate, attached with this notice (“Fee Deposit Slip” is also available on the website www.niper.gov.in/niperjee2013.html) and hand it over to the bank along with registration fee.

Applicants shall have to fill up all items given in online registration form (including bank UTR No./NEFT No./Journal no. (for State Bank of Patiala users) and date of online payment made for Rs. 1500/Rs. 750), upload soft copy of recent photograph and scanned signatures, submit form, take printout of the Registration slip (incomplete forms or forms which are not properly submitted will not be accepted), put signatures at the bottom of registration slip and attach following:- i) copy of the award letter pertaining to GPAT/GATE/NET etc. ii) Sponsorship certificate from industry/government sponsored candidates (format given at Annexure-2 in information brochure) if applicable. iii) Photocopy of acknowledgement of bank receipt towards registration fee. Indian nationals residing abroad and foreign nationals have to remit US$100 (or equivalent in Indian Rupees) through online transfer to the above account number. Payment by Cheque/Postal Order will not be accepted.

Rehabilitation Council of India is a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Disability Affairs Government of India. The Council has been established under the RCI Act and given the statutory powers to enforce uniform standardization and regulation of all training policies and programmes in the field of rehabilitation and special education all over the country. The Council is conducting an All India Aptitude Test for admission to the following six Diploma courses in Special Education for the academic session 2013-14:

1. Diploma in Education-Special Education (Mental Retardation)
2. Diploma in Education-Special Education (Deaf & Hard of Hearing)
3. Diploma in Education-Special Education (Visual Impairment)
4. Diploma in Education-Special Education Deaf blindness (DB)
5. Diploma in Education-Special Education Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD)
6. Diploma in Education-Special Education Cerebral Palsy (CP)

Eligibility Criteria: The minimum academic qualification for admission to Diploma courses is 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized by Central/State Board of Education. Those who have appeared/ appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by Central/State Board of Education in 2013 may also apply for Aptitude Test for admission to these courses. The eligibility criteria for six courses are given in Annexure-2.

Application can either be made Online or submitted on prescribed Application Form given in prospectus.

Request for Prospectus and Application Forms for All India Aptitude Test can be made by Registered / Speed Post addressed to Satvat Infosol Pvt Ltd, 23 Lattice Bridge Road, III Floor, Pizza Corner Building, Adyar, Chennai – 600 020 and accompanied by a Bank Draft for Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) for General/OBC and Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred only) for SC/ST/PH, drawn in favour of “Member Secretary, RCI, New Delhi”, payable at New Delhi. Also enclose a blank self addressed envelope (22 cm × 30 cm) affixed with postage stamp of Rs. 35/-. Latest by: 22.05.2013.

Application Form can also be downloaded from the RCI website: www.rehabcouncil.nic.in and/or www.rcionlineexam.com. Duly filled in Application Form along with the requisite fee of Rs.500/- (General/OBC) and Rs.300/- (SC/ST/PH) in the form of Demand Draft should be sent to Satvat Infosol Pvt Ltd, 23 Lattice Bridge Road, III Floor, Pizza Corner Building, Adyar, Chennai
– 600 020. Deadline for receipt of filled in Application Form is 08.06.2013 at the above mentioned address. RCI will not be responsible for any postal delay.

Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D Programme in various departments.

Admission to the PhD programmes is made on the basis of interview or written test or both as determined by PhD Admission Committee of the Department/Centre provided the candidate fulfils all the requirements at the Institute level and the selected candidate deposits the requisite fees for the PhD Programme. Applications are invited from candidates by advertising the programmes in leading Newspapers in the beginning of Odd semester and in the beginning of Even semester, every year.

Admission to PhD Programme is also possible any time during the year through Department / Centre Admission Committee with the approval of the Chairman Senate through Dean Academic Affairs for all categories of scholars although the course registration, where required, will be possible only at the beginning of next semester. The PhD Admission Committee of a department / centre will consist of concerned RDC plus all potential PhD supervisors.
