Advertisement for Admission to Ph.D Programme
Applications are invited for admission to an interdisciplinary Ph.D programme in Women’s Studies, Women’s Studies Research Centre, University of Calcutta, 1, Reformatory Street, Kolkata-27 with specialization in the parent discipline of the candidate. Candidates should apply in the prescribed proforma obtainable from Calcutta University, College Street Campus. The last date for submission of application is 19/8/2013. The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of two hours duration to be held in this Centre on 26/08/2013 at 2.00 p.m. The list of successful candidates will be displayed in the Notice Board of the Centre on 30/08/2013. They will have to appear in an interview on 06/09/2013 with a Statement of Purpose/Research (500 Words). The final selection will be on the basis of the interview.
Those candidates who have already passed M.Phil/UGC/CSIR(JRF)Examinations/NET/ SET/SLET/Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations need not appear at the written examination and can directly apply to appear at the interview.
The list of finally selected candidates will be displayed in the website /notice board on 20/09/2013.
