Minimum Eligibility Criteria for PhD Admission

I. The minimum eligibility required for admission to a Ph.D. Programme shall normally be a Master's Degree or equivalent in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.

II. Applicants with B.Tech/B. Arch degree or equivalent in respective discipline with excellent academic record (with minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 70% marks) may be considered eligible for admission in Ph.D. programmes in Engineering and Architecture.

III. For Ph.D. in Law, the applicants should possess a Master's degree in Law or M.Phil in law. Those possessing LL.B degree with either a Master's degree in any other relevant subject or with at least ten years of legal practice or experience in a judicial/legal job with published professional work or otherwise proven research interest may be considered eligible. These candidates may be treated as Corporate Research Scholar.

Admission shall be based on:

(i) Satisfying the requirements of minimum eligibility criteria.

(ii) Applicants who have completed or are in the process of completing M.Phil and admission to the M.Phil Programme was granted after qualifying entrance test, shall be exempted from Ansal University Entrance Examination (AUEE). However they will have to make a presentation before the DRC.

(iii) Applicants will be required to make a presentation about their research interests and proposed research work to the DRC.

(iv) Selection in Ph.D. programme will be based on merit. 50% weightage will be given to the performance in AUEE written test and 50% to presentation/Interview.

(v) DRC will submit the list of shortlisted candidate to Vice Chancellor for approval.

(ii) Number of Questions: 100
(iii) Maximum Marks : 100
(iv) Distribution of Marks

Schedule for Fall 2013 admissions

(i) Last Date of Receipt of Applications: 30 June 2013
(ii) Written test followed by Presentation/Interview: 20 July 2013 (Saturday)
