B.Ed. Admission Session 2013-14

Procedure of admission to B.Ed. course session 2013-14:-

(a) The admission to B.Ed. course session 2013-14 will be done by NYSA Communications (P) Ltd. on behalf of Federation of Associations of Self Financed Colleges of Education (Regd.) Punjab through centralized online counselling process.

(b) The eligible candidates aspiring for admission to B.Ed. course session 2013-14 shall submit their application online on the format given on the website of the Federation of Associations of Self Financed Colleges of Education (Regd.) Punjab i.e. www.bedpunjab.org designed for admission to B.Ed. course.

(c) The admission to B.Ed. course shall be done through online central counselling by admission committee constituted by the Federation of Associations of Self Financed Colleges of Education (Regd.) Punjab, in single round of counseling by two allotments.

(d) No Entrance test will be conducted. The admission to the B.Ed. course shall be made on the basis of merit of qualifying examination.

The candidates aspiring for B.Ed. admission 2013 will get free online registration for admission on website i.e. www.bedpunjab.org by their own level. The candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination and whose result have not been declared, may also register themselves for the counselling at their own risk and responsibility, but they shall become eligible only after the declaration of result & of having satisfied the said conditions. They can take the help from in any of the listed Self Financed Colleges available on the website.

The fee for the B.Ed. course for the session 2013-14 has been notified as recommended by the constituted Fee Fixation Committee and approved by the Federation of Self Financed Colleges of Education (Regd.) Punjab (available on the website www.bedpunjab.org).

PTU Allows Direct Admission in MCA Third Semester

PTU Allows Admission in MCA Third Semester - Lateral Entry Admission 2013 - 2014

Punjab Technical University, has decided to allow direct admission into the second year of the Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) course from the current academic session 2013 - 2014

The PTU registrar in communique to affiliated colleges, started that as allowed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the University has decided to allow colleges to admit students directly into third semester of the MCA programme through the lateral entry scheme against vacant seats of 2012 batch.

Students should have passed three year course in bachelors in computer applications or B.Sc (Information Technology or Computer Science) with Mathematics as compulsory subject in class 12 or at the graduation level.

He or she should have obtained at least 50% marls (45% marks in case of reserved category candidates) in the qualifying examination.

The registrar said the admission shall be carried out as per norms laid down by the government and the university.

Fill the Application Form Online and provide information regarding your academic record, reservation category, etc.

After completion of the Application Form click on SAVE button.

Step-3 Edit your Application Form

The registered candidates can edit information filled by them in the Application Form for limited period using User id and password issued to them.

Once the Application Fee payment status is confirmed you will be issued User Id and Password. The intimation about this will be made through SMS/e-mail alerts.

Candidates making payment using Online Net Banking option or Credit/ Debit Card options will be issued User Id and Password immediately after confirmation of the payment by the gateway.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for PhD Admission

I. The minimum eligibility required for admission to a Ph.D. Programme shall normally be a Master's Degree or equivalent in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.

II. Applicants with B.Tech/B. Arch degree or equivalent in respective discipline with excellent academic record (with minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 70% marks) may be considered eligible for admission in Ph.D. programmes in Engineering and Architecture.

III. For Ph.D. in Law, the applicants should possess a Master's degree in Law or M.Phil in law. Those possessing LL.B degree with either a Master's degree in any other relevant subject or with at least ten years of legal practice or experience in a judicial/legal job with published professional work or otherwise proven research interest may be considered eligible. These candidates may be treated as Corporate Research Scholar.

Admission shall be based on:

(i) Satisfying the requirements of minimum eligibility criteria.

(ii) Applicants who have completed or are in the process of completing M.Phil and admission to the M.Phil Programme was granted after qualifying entrance test, shall be exempted from Ansal University Entrance Examination (AUEE). However they will have to make a presentation before the DRC.

(iii) Applicants will be required to make a presentation about their research interests and proposed research work to the DRC.

(iv) Selection in Ph.D. programme will be based on merit. 50% weightage will be given to the performance in AUEE written test and 50% to presentation/Interview.

(v) DRC will submit the list of shortlisted candidate to Vice Chancellor for approval.

Director, Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), invites exceptionally motivated candidates to appear for a walk-in interview on July 15, 2013, (Reporting time 9.00 a.m. to 12 noon) for pursuing doctoral research at IMTECH under the aegis of the Ph.D. degree program being jointly run by IMTECH and the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. The candidates who have passed MSc and cleared any of the following examination (with valid fellowship) are eligible to attend the interview:

3. Each application form must be accompanied by application fee of Rs.1000/-(for General Category candidates) or Rs.500/- (for SC/ST candidates).

4. Before filling up and submitting the application form , take the following steps to deposit the application fee.

5. Open the online application form, click bank form select the desired Department, desired Course, fill in the name, date of berth, password, security key and click on submit button. A printed version will appear alongwith unique Deposit ID. Please print this bank slip and take it to the bank for depositing the application fee.

6. The application fee is to be deposited at any branch of State Bank of Patiala. After depositing the money in the bank, the bank will issue a unique Journal ID.

7. After a gap of minimum three working days, the application form should be submitted as given at 2 above.

8. The candidates must ensure that the mandatory fields shown in red star are filled carefully.

9. After filling all the fields in the application form, when the candidate clicks on the ‘SUBMIT’ button, a form will appear showing particulars filled by the candidate. The candidate will have an option to edit the filled particulars or lock the application.

10. Once ‘LOCK’ button is pressed, a print version of filled form will appear with a unique ID. This is a copy of the application that has now been submitted for admission. The candidate must take a printout of this form and paste an attested photograph on the specified space. The candidate will be required to bring this form at the time of counselling.

Eligibility Condition for MBA (Off Campus)

(i) A Bachelor’s or Master Degree in any discipline of Panjab University or a degree of any other University which has been recognised by Panjab University as equivalent thereto with atleast 50% marks in aggregate; Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor’s degree of the University through Modern Indian Language [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurmukhi Script)] and/or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit/Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other University obtained in the same manner recognized by the Syndicate, 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together.

Or

(ii) A pass in final examination conducted by the (a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England. (b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England, and (c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Eligibility

The minimum academic qualification for admission to the programs is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (mentioned below). The candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2013 are also eligible to apply for consideration of provisional admission. All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 examination or equivalent) to the Institute latest by 30 October 2013, failing which such provisional admission will stand cancelled.

If a candidate is found ineligible at a later date, even after admission to DA-IICT, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original testimonials/certificates/documents of the candidates. The decision of the concerned authorities of DA-IICT regarding eligibility of any candidate shall be final.
A list of qualifying examinations is given below:

The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education, including Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

Intermediate Science or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.

Final Examination of the Two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system.

H.S.C. Vocational Examination.

Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.

Three or four-year diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Eligibility:

a) i) **Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or it: the Master's degree or any other qualification declared equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.

ii) **The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks in favour of the reserved categories shall be as per rules of the concerned Govt. of Punjab.

Note-i):- Any candidate with less than 50% or less marks would not be eligible.

Note-ii):- There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/BC candidates. Candidate with less then 45% marks belonging to these categories shall not be eligible.

4. The maximum qualifications of a writer for a blind candidate for the entrance test is Matric. The writer should not have passed the mentioned qualifications one year prior to the examination. The candidate should contact the Assistant Registrar, CET Cell ten days before the commencement of the entrance test for the arrangement of writer and other formalities.

Online applications are invited from such candidates only who belong to any State other than Rajasthan State for admission to First year of degree engineering courses on the basis of JEE(mains) score. 15% seats in the Private Unaided Engineering Institutions and 15% seats in the Self-Financed Courses in Govt. The M.Tech (CS) Part-time Information Brochure 2013 covers admissions to the 3-year (6-semester) part time M.Tech (CS) programme offered at the Birla Institute of Technology Extension Centre Noida. The programme will commence in July 2013. On the successful completion of the 3-year programme, the students will be awarded the degree of Master of Technology in Computer Science.

3-Year (6-Semester) Part Time-MBA - Working Professionals Programme 2013-2016

The MBA (Weekend professionals) Informat ion Brochure 2013 covers admissions to the 3-year (6- semester) part-time MBA programme 2013 offered at the Birla Institute of Technology Extension Centre Noida. The programme will commence in July 2013. On the successful completion of the 3-year programme, the students will be awarded the degree of Master of Business Administration.

Eligibility Criteria: Graduate (10 + 2 + 3 scheme) in any discipline from recognized university with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate and at least one years work experience. Fresh graduates without experience who have appeared in CAT 2011 and having valid CAT score may also apply.

i) A Crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 2,000/- (General) and Rs.1,200/- (SC/ST) candidates (non – refundable) in favor of “Birla Institute of Technology”, payable at Noida. (Note: Application Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances)

ii) Send a printout of the completed form along with

• two recent pa s spor t siz e color photographs (one pasted on the form and one attached by clip to the form)

• Photocopies of all marksheets and certificates (see List of Enclosures)

• Demand draft in a stout A4 size envelope by Speedpost / a reliable courier (by which the sender may track its movement on internet) to the office of Director, Birla Institute of Technology, A-7, Sector-1, Noida -201301 positively by the due date. 4-Year (8-Semester) Full-Time B.Sc. (Hons.) Animation & Multimedia Programme 2013-2017

The B.Sc. (Hons.) Animation & Multimedia programme is a four-years (eight semesters) degree course currently offered only at the BIT Jaipur and BIT Noida Campuses. This is a modular programme with exit possibility after three years (six semesters). If a student exits after completion of six semester’s he/she will be awarded a Degree of B.Sc. Animation & Multimedia, and on successful completion of eight semesters he/she will be awarded a Degree of B.Sc. (Hons.) Animation & Multimedia.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed Class 12 / Equivalent Qualifying Examination with 50% for general candidates (Pass for SC/ST) Percentage of marks in Class 12/ Equivalent Qualifying Examination shall be considered on the basis of board’s calculation of percentage for the award of division/degree/certificate.

NU offers admission into its prestigious B.Tech programme for the batch 2013-2017 under a Regular Admission Mode (RAD) for eligible applicants who are appearing for their Class XII Board Examinations in March-April 2013 or have successfully completed Class XII in March-April 2011 or 2012.

The applicants seeking admission in this mode can also apply for scholarship under the NU Scholar Programme.

There are limited seats for which admission is being granted under the Regular Application Mode. The admission will be granted on a first come first served basis to only those applicants who meet the admission criteria.
Timelines

The RAD application will be available from February 1, 2013.

The last date of submission of application under RAD is June 15, 2013.

The PCI will be scheduled within 7 days of meeting the eligibility criteria and typically by June 22, 2013.

All offers for admissions under RAD will be made typically within 48 hours of PCI.

The applicant should:

Have filled the Regular Admission form by the specified date.

Have scored an aggregate of 5 subjects (for CBSE/State Board or its equivalent from any other country; four compulsory subjects are English, Mathematics, Science and Social study and for ICSE Board four compulsory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English. Fifth subject, for all Boards in India or its equivalent from any other country, can be any single high scoring subject)≥60% marks or equivalent in grade in Class X.

Be appearing for Class XII Board examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects for CSE & EC streams in March/April 2013 or should possess the score of Class XII Board examination from year 2011 or 2012. Be appearing for Class XII Board examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) or PCM or PCMB as subjects for (BT) stream in March/April 2013or should possess the score of Class XII Board examination from year 2011 or 2012. Have a minimum score of 60% in Class XII Board exam.

Should be appearing in either JEE-Main or BITSAT or SAT or NUET (NIIT University Engineering Test) or any State Engineering Entrance Examination.
