Admissions : All admissions to the various courses in the University will be governed by the Rules and Regulations for admission as approved by the relevant bodies of the university.

At the time of admission, the student should submit an undertaking whether he/she has any criminal background and has been convicted under any criminal offence. He/She should also state in the undertaking if any FIR is registered against him/her or if any criminal proceedings are still pending against him/her at the time of submission of application. Further, the student should also state in the undertaking that he/she will not possess/carry any weapon on the University Campus and if any weapon is recovered from him/her, he/she be rusticated.

Applications on the prescribed form are invited for admission to the above said course from students who have passed in their matriculation examination held by a recognized board/ council.

Only students fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply:

1. The student should have passed his/her matriculation examination with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST category).

2. The students who fail in any one of the subjects English, Science and Mathematics shall not be eligible for admission.

3. Admission under this scheme will be on merit basis by taking average marks obtained in the subjects of English, Science and Mathematics in matriculation examination.

After successful completion of first two years of study (i.e. up to 10+2) the student will be eligible to opt for any one stream of the B.Tech. (Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) Courses on the basis of their merit in the 10+2 Examination.

Since the matriculation results of the Punjab School Education Board has not been declared so far, the last date for submission of JET Admission Application forms has been extended upto 10th June 2013.

Note: It is once again clarified that only those candidates who have appeared in the JET and submit the Admission Application forms are eligible for online counselling.

Entrance Examination For NEIGRIHMS–PG (MD/MS) and DM (Cardiology) Courses, Session 2013-14

Applications are invited in the prescribed form for admission to NEIGRIHMS-PG (MD/MS) Courses (affiliated to North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya) for the session 2013-14.

PG (MD/MS): NEIGRIHMS shall conduct Entrance Examination to fill up the seats available for Open NE category only. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates having Permanent Resident/Domicile certificate of any of the North Eastern States including Sikkim.

Procedure to Get Application Form

The teacher should be in service at the time of submitting application form as well as at the time of producing the original documents at the Regional Centre. The experience certificate should be issued by the Principal or Headmaster/Headmistress only. The requisite teaching experience of two years must be completed on or before the last date of submission of application as notified in the advertisement. An attested photocopy of the Recognition and Affiliation Certificate with Registration number issued to the school, Central or a State Government or Union Territory or Directorate of Education must be enclosed at the time of submission of Entrance cum admission form.

iii) The reservation for SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) and other categories shall be per the rules of the Central Government. There shall be relaxation of five percent marks in favour of SC/ST/Kashmiri Migrant and other categories of candidates, if any, as per Govt. of India Rules.

iv) The candidate should submit their application form only at the concerned Regional Centre under whose jurisdiction /operational area the working school falls.

Entrance Test: The Entrance Test will be held on 18.8.2013 Hall tickets will be provided to the candidates before 10 days of the Entrance Test. In case of non-receipt of Hall Tickets 3 days before the date of Entrance Test, candidates can download Hall Ticket from IGNOU website: www.ignou.ac.in. and report to the Examination Centre for appearing in the Entrance Test. Mere allowing candidates to take Entrance Test would not amount to acceptance of their eligibility for admission to B.Ed. The final admission to the programme shall be subject to their rank in the merit list in the Entrance Test and production of proof of their eligibility alongwith original certificates and programme fee. The number of seats of each PSC is limited to 100 only. The university reserves the right to conduct the examination at different centres/change the examination centre of the candidates without assigning any reason thereof.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

The course is of four and a half (4½) year duration. The primary focus of the Institute is to provide an integrated curriculum that combines didactic and clinical study to prepare a student for the practice of physiotherapy. The program is designed to integrate cognitive, psychomotor and interpersonal skills that are essential to the development of a competent clinician.

The aim of this course is to train students to become Physiotherapy Clinicians who are competent in the therapeutic management of body dysfunction using therapeutic exercises and physical modalities to rehabilitate individuals with health disorders such as, but not limited to, post-operative, cardio–respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other medical pathologies. The goal of Physiotherapy is to promote optimal human health and function through the application of scientific principles. After successful completion of the course, the University of Delhi will award a degree of Bachelors of Physiotherapy.

Eligibility: To qualify for admission, candidates must have completely passed in all subjects (prior to admission) the following :

Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (12 years)/ Indian School Certificate Examination of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination/ Intermediate/Pre-medical Examination or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with 50% marks or more (45% marks or more for reserved category) in the aggregate of four subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Core) provided the student has passed each subject separately.

Rehabilitation Council of India is a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Disability Affairs Government of India. The Council has been established under the RCI Act and given the statutory powers to enforce uniform standardization and regulation of all training policies and programmes in the field of rehabilitation and special education all over the country. The Council is conducting an All India Aptitude Test for admission to the following six Diploma courses in Special Education for the academic session 2013-14:

1. Diploma in Education-Special Education (Mental Retardation)
2. Diploma in Education-Special Education (Deaf & Hard of Hearing)
3. Diploma in Education-Special Education (Visual Impairment)
4. Diploma in Education-Special Education Deaf blindness (DB)
5. Diploma in Education-Special Education Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD)

The eligibility criteria for six courses are given in Annexure-2.

University Grants Commission invites applications for the award of 2000 fellowships for SC candidates and 667 fellowships for ST candidates for the year 2013-14 respectively under Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for SC/ST Candidates to undertake advanced studies and research in Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences in Indian universities & colleges for pursuing full time studies leading to M.Phil/Ph.D degree. This fellowship is applicable only to SC/ST candidates who are not availing of the benefit to JRF of UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET.

In continuation to our earlier advertisement dated 2.5.2012 the University Grants Commission again invites Applications for the RESEARCH AWARDS (100 slots) for permanent teachers having Ph.D in their respective subjects and of not more than 45 years of age at the time of submission of application form. In case of Women, SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/Physically Handicapped/ Minorities, the age limit shall be 50 years. The guidelines of the scheme, detailed terms & conditions of the research grants, eligibility etc. may be seen by logging on to the UGC Website www.ugc.ac.in.

Applications in the prescribed format may be submitted only through online mode latest by 02.06.2013 by 6.00 p.m.(non-extendable) by logging on to website: http://www.ugc.ac.in/ra

The decision of the Commission with regard to selection of candidates for the award of fellowship shall be final.

Note:
