Applications are invited for various courses for the academic session 2013-2014
Graduate Marine Engineering – GME (1 year)
Qualification : Graduate in Mechanical Engineering / Naval Architects / Automation Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognised colleges.
Diploma in Nautical Science – DNS
Qualification : Pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board / University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), with not less than 55% marks in PCM aggregate. OR With Physics as an individual subject in any one of the years of B.Sc., with not less than 50% marks in the final year of B.Sc., from a recognized University provided that the candidate must have passed 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board. OR B.E./B. Tech. or it's equivalent degree from I.I.T. or from a college recognized by AICTE/UGC.
B.Sc. (Nautical Science)
Qualification : Candidate must have completed (10+2) or equivalent examination with
i) at least 60% marks in PCM.
ii) at least 50% marks in English either in class 10th or 12th.
B.Tech Marine Engineering
Qualification : Candidate must have completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) examination with
i) at least 60% marks in P.C.M.
ii) at least 50% marks in English either in class 10th or 12th.
B.Tech Marine Engineering
Qualification : a) 1st year from the engineering college in other streams like Mechanical or Electrical approved by AICTE with minimum 60% average marks
OR
b) Diploma Course in Mechanical / Marine / Electrical from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% of aggregate marks in the last year of Diploma Course.
OR
c) 3 years Diploma Course, in addition to the three years regular Diploma Course in Mechanical/ Electrical /Electrical & Electronics Engineering, in following categories, from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% of aggregate marks in the last year of Diploma Course ;-
i) Electrical Engineering Stream : Electrical Power System ;
ii) Electrical and Electronics Engineering Stream : Digital Electronics / Electronics and Communications/ Electronics & Telecommunication / Industrial electronics / Electronics / Electronics Production & Maintenance / Instrumentation /Instrumentation & Control
iii) Mechanical Engineering Stream : Automobile /Machine Tools and Maintenance /Plant Engineering / Production Technology /Production Engineering /Advanced Diploma in Tool and Die Making
[Note : The candidates in this category are not eligible for exemption in the examination of Applied Mechanics and Heat Engine subject of Part ‘A’ MEO Class IV and Class II of Certificate of Competency Examinations.]
OR
d) 4 years Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% aggregate marks in the last year of diploma course
