Eligibility: For B.A. and B.B.A. LL.B. :-

A. The candidate should have passed 12th(10+2) examination from any recognized Board with minimum 45% marks (40% for S.C. / S.T. students) in one attempt (No compartment). Students who have appeared for their H.S.C. finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply subject to submission of passing certificate by the announced date.

B. Age Limit: Candidate should be less than 20 years of age at the time of appearing for the SET, as on 04 May 2013 (2 years relaxation for SC/ST candidate).

C. Applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having anybasic qualification are not eligible for the Law Course.

D. Intake Limit – The total intake is 200 seats (inclusive of 150 seats of B.B.A.LL.B and 50 seats of B.A.LL.B).

Eligibility:

(a) Except the exceptional situations contained in clauses (b), only such a candidate shall be eligible for admission to LL.B Course who has passed any of the following qualifying examinations either from Allahabad University or any other University recognized by Allahabad University and has secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination:

(i) B.A/ B.Com/ B.Sc (Hons.) Examination, or
(ii) B.A / B.Com/ B.Sc three year degree Course examination in 10+2+3 system, or
(iii) B.A/ B.Com/ B.Sc examination according to 10+2+2 or +3 Rule on or before 1987, or

Online Prospectus: The prospectus for LAT-2013 is available on the website www.auadmission.co.in and the admission aspirants can visit the website and download it. Aspirants are advised to read the prospectus carefully before applying.

For Online Registration the candidates can deposit fee through the CHALLAN download from the website www.auadmission.co.in in favour of "Finance Officer, University of Allahabad", and fill it up correctly by mentioning all the details required. The bank account number LAT-2013 has to be clearly mentioned along with the applicable fee which is Rs. 600./- in case of General/OBC Candidates and Rs. 300/- in case of SC/ST/PH candidates. The completed challan along with the fees can be deposited at any of the branches of bank. Bank will give a unique 6 digit receipt number on acceptance of the fee and this number is to be entered by the applicant on the online form. If the fee payment receipt number entered by the candidate does not match with the details provided by the bank to the university then admit card will not be issued and application will be cancelled. Bank will also give two copies (student copy and university copy) of the challan to the candidate. The student is required to send the original university copy of CHALLAN to Director Admissions, Pravesh Bhawan, Chaitham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad and bring the photocopy along with its Admit Card to the Test Centre and submit it at the time of Test.

Eligibility Information :

1. The candidate must have obtained LL.B Degree from any University recognized by U.G.C. and the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks in the aggregate in the said class.

2. However, the candidates who have appeared in LL.B III Year (LL.B. Final Year)) class are also eligible to apply and appear in the LL.M Admission Test. But such candidate must have passed and produce LL.B Final Year Mark sheets on of before the date of admission, failing which their claim to admission shall stand forfeited.

3. The Admission Test shall be held on Saturday, 8th June, 2013 between 8 A.M. and 11.00 A.M. at such places and centres as mentioned on the Admit Card.

4. Forms are available online on the website www.auadmission.co.in for downloading and submission of form.

5. The Admission Test shall comprise Three Parts each of 100 marks. The maximum marks of Test shall be 300 and of three hours duration.

The University of Allahabad shall hold an Entrance Test on May 04th, 2013 for selecting students for admission to its self‐financing B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) : Five Year Integrated Course. The Students who have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST) at 10+2 or 11+1 or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Academic Council of University of Allahabad and the Bar Council of India, and General Category who are not more than 20 years of age and SC/ST and other backward classes who are not more than 22 years of age an on 1st July 2013, may be admitted to the BA LLB (Hons.) 5 year integrated Course. Students whose results are awaited may also apply, but their candidature shall stand cancelled if they do not qualify, or if their results are not declared, or if they fail to produce their marks sheet at the time of admission.

The Application Form and Prospectus will be available online on March 16th Saturday, 2013 and can also be obtained personally from the Pravesh Bhawan, University of Allahabad, Allahabad from March 19th, Tuesday 2013 to April 10th, Wednesday 2013 between 10:00 am and 04:00 p.m. on payment of Rs. 1200/‐ General/OBC (Rs. 600/‐ in case of SC/ST/PH in cash).

Duly filled in Application Forms can be deposited Online or personally from March 19th, Tuesday 2013 to April 10th, Wednesday 2013 on the counters of the Pravesh Bhawan, Chatham Lines, University of Allahabad, Allahabad on all working days between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Full-time Programmes

A candidate seeking admission to Part-time Ph.D. programme is required to meet the following criteria: (i) Should possess the educational qualifications as mentioned in Para (a) above; (ii) Currently, should be in full-time employment;(iii) Should be a senior level educational functionary with a minimum of five years work experience in teaching, educational planning and administration.

How to Apply: Candidates may apply in the prescribed form for admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes of the University along with three copies of the brief write-up (in the prescribed format) on the proposed research topic of a contemporary issue within the broad framework of educational policy, planning and administration. (b) The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Bio-technology at the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Classes / OPH the marks obtained in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination is 40%.

(c) For OPH candidates in general category the minimum marks taken together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination will be 45% Annexure - I lists the examinations recognized by JIPMER

(d) The Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination other than those mentioned in the list appended in Annexure – II, will have to submit an Eligibility Certificate before admission is finalized. Obtaining such an Eligibility Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi is essential for OCI and Foreign Nationals who are nominated by Govt. of India for admission to JIPMER M.B.B.S. Course.

Need of the Seminar

Energy is considered as barometer of development for any country including India. Even though, the total production of Renewable energy that comes from resources which are continuously replenished, for example sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat. About 16% of global energy consumption is met from renewable resources, with 10% of all energy from traditional biomass, mainly used for heating, and 3.4% from hydroelectricity. New renewables (small hydro, modern biomass, wind, solar, geothermal, and biofuels) accounted for another 3% and are growing very rapidly. The share of renewables in electricity generation is around 19%, with 16% of electricity coming from hydroelectricity and 3% from new renewables.

Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) started at Pookode, Wayanad with effect from 14th June 2010 as per the 3/2011 Act of Government of Kerala. University started functioning with the objective of becoming one of the National level Universities in the areas of Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Management and allied biological sciences. University had received Rs 200 Crore funding from Government of India and Government of Kerala for developing infrastructure facilities and augmenting research activities. 1. You must be a full-time student at one of the VTU affiliated colleges

2. This scholarship is only for 1st year MBA students (all specialization), 1st Year M Tech students (all specialization) and 3rd Year Engineering students (all specialization)

3. This scholarship is open to students (categories mentioned above) without any discrimination on the basis of sex, race, national or ethnic origin, marital status, disability, religion.

4. Your career goals, personal goals, reasons for applying for this particular scholarship is important part of your application. Think through before writing.

5. Answer all questions as completely as possible. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated.

6. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed only by Scholarship Committee

7. It’s four step evaluation process, consisting of a test and three rounds of interviews. Only those who qualify in the written test are called for the interview rounds.

The Aliah University is going to organize ‘Talent Search Program’ exclusively for the students from the Madrasahs in West Bengal through a written test. The purpose of this activity is to identify, encourage, and nurture the talent in mathematics and other sciences among the students studying in Madrasahs (both Junior and High).

The Programme consists of two schemes:

Applications are invited for admission to the Master of Technology (M.Tech.) programmes starting in July 2013. The programmes are of two years duration.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to M.Tech. Programme

The programme is open to candidates of all categories with Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology / M Sc or equivalent professional degrees (AMIE, etc.) and having a valid GATE score. Note: All regular category candidates (except those having B.Tech. degrees from an IIT with a minimum CPI of 8.0) must possess a valid score of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech. Programme of the Institute shall have to possess a minimum of 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in 10 point scale) for General/OBC categories and 55% marks (or a CGPA of 5.5 in 10 point scale) for SC/ST categories in the final qualifying examination. All selected candidates have to produce the certificate with regard to the marks secured in the final qualifying examination by 31-10-2013. Reservation of Seats for SC, ST, OBC (including OBC Minorities) (Non-creamy layer) and PD categories: As per Govt. of India rules. OBC (including OBC Minorities) (Non-creamy layer) candidates will have to enclose certificate and self-declaration statement as per prescribed format in annexure I, II and III (as applicable) available with the Application form.

Workshop on Cryptography

A Workshop on Cryptography (April 6-7, 2013)

At present, Cryptography has become a broad area of research. There are a wide variety of applications of cryptography including our day-to-day life applications such as e-mail, e-commerce, e-governance and mobile communications. Therefore, to make the academic studies more relevant on this field, the workshop targets to deliver the basic fundamental knowledge on cryptography to the young students, who can build their carrier to develop the new techniques in this area. The workshop aims to build a foundation on both the design and implementation of cryptographic techniques.

Intended Audience

The Workshop is intended for young students, researchers from Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science who are interested in this field. The participants are desired to be familiar with the basic concepts of number theory..

For July 2013 admission, the online link will remain active till, 10.04.2013. Please login and fill up all the parts of the application form. Follow the instructions given in the document “Instructions to Candidates”. At the end a final PDF will be generated. You can download it from your registered email address or from your application page.

You are requested to send final submitted application generated online duly signed along with copies of mark sheets/certificates and other testimonials (both sides) and a Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST/PD candidates drawn in any nationalized bank and payable at Patna in favour of IIT Patna to the Assistant Registrar(Academics), Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Patliputra Colony, Patna – 800 013, Bihar, to reach on or before 17-04-2013. The words “Application for Ph.D. admission in the Department of _________” should be written on the top of the envelope for sending the completed form. Female applicants will be exempted from application fee.

NMAT (UG) 2013 announced for NMIMS

SVKM’S Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Deemed-to-be University, Mumbai, has announced its national level admission test NMAT (UG) 2013 to invite applications from eligible candidates who have passed or appearing in class 12 examinations.

NMAT (UG) 2013 will be conducted online on 12 May, 2013. This is being conducted by NMIMS to select candidates for admission into university’s Undergraduate (UG) and Integrated MBA programmes offered in the streams of Engineering, Pharmacy, Commerce & economics.

NMIMS’s 5-year Integrated MBA programs include MBA (Tech) and MBA (Pharma Tech). These are unique integrated MBA programs straight after class 12 that produce highly demanded techno mangers. Both the programs are well appreciated by the industry and it is reflected by the high salaries offered in campus placements.

Students aspiring for admission in UG programs at NMIMS including B.Tech., B.Com (Honours), BBA and B.Sc. (Economics) also have to register in NMAT (UG) 2013.

Dr. Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University said, “NMAT(UG) was previously named as NMAT(T/C), which already is one of the most preferred entrance tests among career aspiring students in the country. This year it will be conducted online at multiple test centres hence its reach in students is expected to increase by multifold.”
