Extension of last date for submission of online application form for M.Ed. Entrance test

Panjab University Chandigarh is conducting Entrance Tests for admission to M.Ed. Courses i.e., M. Ed (regular) for Department of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Colleges of Education, situated in Chandigarh and Punjab, affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh; and also for M.Ed. (2 year Correspondence Course for in-service teachers). The last date for submission of information on the website to generate the Bank Challan has been extended by one week and is now 16-06-2012 (Saturday).

Last date for deposit of fee in any branch of State Bank of India using website generated challan is 19-06-2012 (Tuesday) up to 4:00 p.m. and the last date for submission of fee details (journal no.; branch code and date of deposit given by Bank) and uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website is 21-06-2012 (Thursday). Date for Entrance Test is 15.7.2012

On-line Admission to B.Com. Part-I 2012 - 2013

Admission to B.Com. Part-I in the affiliated Colleges of Panjab University located in Chandigarh including Department of Evening Studies, Panjab University and the Colleges located in city of Ludhiana including Colleges namely Shree Atam Vallabh Jain College of Commerce & Management, District Ludhiana for the session 2012-13.

The detailed information regarding Application Form, number of seats in different Colleges, eligibility conditions, and reservation policy are available at the website http://bcomadmissions.puchd.ac.in from June 14, 2012.

The step-wise sequence of admission process is as under:-

1. Fill up the online “Application Form” with at least five options of colleges in order of their preferences.

2. Take the printout of the application form.

3. Attach self-attested documents with the printout of the application form as under:

(a) Matriculation Certificate
(b) 10+2 Certificate
( c) Category Certificate

4. Attach Demand Draft for Rs.150/- for General Category and Rs.75/- for SC/ST Candidates for applying in Ludhiana or Chandigarh and Rs.250/- for General Category and Rs.125/- for SC/ST candidates who will apply for both Chandigarh and Ludhiana in favour of the Coordinator, B.Com. Admissions, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

5. Send the Admission form through registered/speed post to Professor Suresh K. Chadha, Coordinator, B.Com. online Admissions or submit by hand at University Business School, Arts Block -3, P.U. Campus, Chandigarh by June 30, 2012 up to 5.00 p.m.

6. Forms can also be submitted by hand only at P.U. Regional Centre, Civil Lines, Ludhiana by June 30, 2012 up to 5.00 p.m. The process of filling “Application Forms” online will close at 3.00 p.m. on June 28, 2012. P.G.Diploma In Bio-Informatics Course

Eligibility: Candidates seeking admission to Post-Graduate Diploma (Vocational) Course in Bio-informatics must have acquired the graduation degree in Science, Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Bio-chemistry from a University as is established by law or an equivalent degree thereto as is recognized by Patna University, with atleast 45% marks at the graduation level.

Number of Seats: Number of seats in Post-Graduate Diploma (Vocational) Course in Bio-informatics shall be a maximum of 50 only; of which 5 seats may be reserved for NRI (Non-Resident Indian) candidates provided they agree to pay fee and other levies to the University in foreign exchange, as is determined by the University from time to time; provided that such fees and levis shall not be less than one and a half times of the fees and levis to be charged from Indian students.

The applicant will be required to apply in the prescribed application form also available on the website www.patnauniversity.ac.in and www.pucc.bih.nic.in. It has to be submitted to the Officer Incharge/Course Coordinator, Patna University Computer Centre, Patna University, Patna 800 005 on or before the due date. The application form and the prospectus can be obtained either from the Computer Centre on submission of a Bank Draft for Rs. 1000/- payable to the “Officer Incharge, Patna University Computer Centre” on any working day from 10.00 A.M. to 3.00 P.M. as per notification or from the website. No additional fee for entrance test will be charged.

The cost of Application Form for the course is Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 1050/- for postal services along with self addressed envelope of A4 size). Those who are applying by downloading the form from the website they have to submit the duly filled form along with bank draft for Rs. 1000/- in favour of the “Officer Incharge, Patna University Computer Centre”, payable at Patna.

College of Home Science was established in 1982 as an important component of Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa (Samastipur) Bihar to provide scientific and technical education in Home Science to female students. It is the only institution of its kind in the State of Bihar that provides Home Science education with all the relevant fundamental and applied subjects.

Eligibility:

• Only female candidates are eligible.
• The candidate must be a permanent resident /domicile of the State of Bihar .
• The candidate must have completed a minimum of 17 years of age on 1st
• Minimum qualification required for admission to B.Sc.(Home Science) shall be Intermediate in Science i.e. 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) from a recognized Board/University.July, 2012.
• The candidate who is appearing in the Intermediate/+2 or equivalent examination is also eligible to apply for admission and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination. However she must complete the degree requirement on or before 30.06.2012
• The cutoff date for passing intermediate examination shall be 30th June 2012.
