B.Tech. Admission 2012

Starting from 2012, IIIT-Delhi is offering B.Tech. programs in both CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) and ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering).

Eligibility

80% or more marks in the aggregate and 80% or more in Mathematics in class XII from CBSE/ICSE/IB board or equivalent If a board has more then five subjects for aggregate, then best five will be taken.

Additional criteria for admission in ECE program: Physics in Class XII.

If the result of 10+2 is not declared by the respective board, then the student can sit for exam, but at the time of counselling he/she has to produce the certificate of class 10+2 result fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

Summer Faculty Research Fellow Programme - 2012

IIT Delhi is inviting faculty fellows from various Engineering and Science Institutes and Colleges in India other than IIT Delhi to come and spend summer (May-July, 2012) for doing research under the guidance of a faculty mentor of IIT Delhi. The objective is to facilitate and orient the faculty fellows to undertake research. The faculty fellow will also get an opportunity to interact and work with the faculty and research students of the group and get exposure to the equipment and lab facilities associated with the faculty mentor. Access to other general facilities such as the central library would also be feasible.

B.Tech./Integrated (B.Tech + M.Tech)/MBA(Tech.) Admission

Eligibility Criteria:

A pass in 10+2 examinations of CBSE or its equivalent of any Board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science as subject with adequate proficiency in English.

The selection will be based on the merit lists of AIEEE – 2012 (All India overall rank) or any other State level Entrance Test for Engineering.

Alternately, eligible students can also appear in MITS Engineering Entrance Test (MEET – 2012).

The last date for receiving applications from prospective students seeking Admission through MEET 2012 is 30th April 2012 (Monday).

The date of MEET 2012 is 6th May 2012 (Sunday).

No separate application is required for MEET 2012. Please indicate your choice of MEET in 5 (a) of the Admission Application Form.

MEET will be held at the following centers (tentative).

Minimum of 50% aggregate marks in three year Diploma, in any branch of Engineering, from a recognized institution in India. Candidates will have the freedom to apply to any branch available with MITS irrespective of their branch during Diploma.

OR

Minimum of 50% aggregate marks in three year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) course with Mathematics at Graduation Level from a recognized institution/university in India or abroad. However, such candidates will have to appear in an Entrance Test to be conducted by the Admission Committee.
