One-Year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates & Science Post-Graduates starting in August 2013 will be conducted at BARC Training Schools situated at: BARC, Mumbai; IGCAR, Kalpakkam; NFC, Hyderabad; RRCAT, Indore; AMD, Hyderabad. Performance above a certain threshold at the BARC Training School will entitle Trainee Scientific Officers (TSOs) to a Post- Graduate Diploma of Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a Deemed to be University and could also earn them credits towards M.Tech. / M.Phil. programs of HBNI.

Two-Year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Post-Graduates for joining M.Tech. in select specialisations starting in July 2013 at: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and BHU-Varanasi; National Institute of Technology (NIT) - Rourkela; Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) – Mumbai. Both OCES TSOs and DGFS Fellows will get opportunities for pursuing Ph.D. through HBNI. PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 For admission to MD/MS/Diploma & MDS Course

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for All India Common Entrance Test (PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 *) for selection of candidates for admission to Postgraduate Courses in Medicine (MD/MS/DIPLOMA) & Dentistry (MDS) for the academic year 2013-14 in the constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University).

Eligibility Criteria for appearing the Entrance Test. :

Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Medicine/Dentistry course should hold MBBS /BDS degree of recognized University by MCI/DCI.

A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31 March, 2013 can appear for PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 .

All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with the manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected.

A candidate should have obtained permanent registration with MCI/DCI (as the case may be) or any state council. If candidate does not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.

Candidates who are previously registered and pursuing/completed the PG degree course or have obtained PG degree, are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2013.

Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/left the seat are not eligible for appearing at PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 .

Candidates who have completed Medicine postgraduate diploma course or would be completing by 31.03.2013 will be eligible for PIMS-AICET-PG 2013 for admission to Medicine postgraduate degree in the same subject only.

National Institute of Immunology (NII) invites applications for its Ph.D. programme. Cutting-edge research at the Institute encompasses broad interdisciplinary areas -

Minimum qualifications:


M.Sc. in any branch of Science (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics) or M.Tech. or M.B.B.S. or M.V.Sc. or M.Pharm. or equivalent qualification as per the norms of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.

At least 60% aggregate score or equivalent grade in Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) and Bachelor's degree, and at least 55% aggregate score or equivalent grade in Master's degree is required.

Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination this year may also apply; they will be admitted provisionally pending satisfactory fulfillment of the above requirements at the time of joining.

Selection procedure :

Candidates fulfilling minimum requirements will be invited for a written qualifying test at their own expenses on February 24, 2013 at any of the following five centers - Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune & Guwahati. The Institute shall try to accommodate the choice of centers indicated by the candidate. However, in case of non-availability of a seat at the centers chosen by the candidate, the candidate shall be required to appear for the written qualifying test at the centre allotted by the Institute.

The written test is aimed at evaluating abilities to comprehend, analyse and reason. Therefore, the examination is General Aptitude Test & no separate syllabus is prescribed.

The results of the written test along with the details of the interviews shall be available on the website of the Institute as well as on the Notice Board of the Institute on March 05, 2013.

Interviews will be held at National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi from June 6 - 9, 2013. The Interviews will be held in two stages. The candidates will be short-listed for the final interview based on their performance in the first interview. Final interview will be held in the last two days.

The selected candidates would be paid second class train fare for joining the Ph.D. programme on providing the proof of journey.

Candidates selected after the interviews will be enrolled for the Ph.D. programme of NII in academic affiliation with JNU, New Delhi.

The CBSE has received many applications from JEE (Main)-2013 aspirants after the last date (15.12.2012) to extend the last date for filling up of online application form which they could not fill up due to various reasons. In view of it being the first examination for JEE(Main) to be held in 2013 , the last date for filling up of online application form has been extended up to 24th December 2012.

The date for filling up of application for JEE (Main)-2013 shall not be extended any further.

It is further informed that the duly filled in confirmation page, along with the Demand Draft (if the fee is paid through Demand Draft) must be sent by registered /speed post only to the JEE(Main) Secretariat so as to reach on or before 31st December 2012. The confirmation page received thereafter will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria for admission in to Ph. D programme:

2. Applicants with B.Tech /B.E./B.Sc. Engg./B.Arch./B. Pharm./M.B.B.S. having a minimum of 70% marks at Graduation level for General candidates (65% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience, and 55% for SC/ST candidates) may also apply.

3. However, an applicant having professional qualifications such as Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India) / Aeronautical Society of India or equivalent may be considered for admission to the Ph.D. programme only after he/she completes the M.E. / M.Tech programme of any recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks at Master’s level (55% in case of Full-Time Sponsored candidates with a minimum of three years professional experience, and SC/ST candidates).

4. Candidates must have adequate proficiency in written and spoken English. Foreign nationals, excluding ex-students and faculty/staff members of B.I.T. International Centres, possessing any of the qualification listed 1, 2, 3 above shall be required to clear TOEFL or any other equivalent examination prescribed by the Technical Council of the Institute from time to time to become eligible for admission to the Ph.D. programme.

Eligibility is based on enrollment in an accredited university by January 1, 2013.

You may be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student. You must also be eligible to work in the United States, if your host organization is located in the U.S. (e.g. U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and individuals with a current U.S. student visa). Google can not provide guidance or assistance on obtaining the necessary documentation to meet this criteria.

Who should apply?

We're looking for students who are passionate about journalism and the role that technology can play in the industry and the pursuit of their craft. Students from all majors and degree programs who possess the following qualities are encouraged to apply:

Demonstrated or stated commitment to journalism - especially in the fields of data driven journalism or freedom of expression online

An interest in exploring and creating business models to help the industry in the digital age

Excellent academic record, professional/extracurricular/volunteer activities, subject matter expertise

First-rate analytical, communications, research, and writing skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently, and to work smartly and resourcefully in a fast-paced environment

Fellows will receive a stipend of $7,500 USD for 10 weeks during the summer of 2013 (June-August) and a travel budget of $1,000 USD.

The Fellowship will start on June 3, 2013 with the first week at the Knight Foundation in Florida. Fellows will join their host organization on June 10, 2013 and finish with a week at Google in California on August 5, 2013.

What is the program timeline?

January 31, 2013: Student application deadline; applications must be received by midnight Pacific time

February 14, 2013: Student applicants are notified of the status of their applications

June 3, 2013: Students begin fellowship with a week at the Knight Foundation. At the same time Google issues initial student stipends and travel budget

June 10, 2013: Students join their host organization

July 2013: Mid-term evaluations; Google issues mid-term stipends

August 2013: Final evaluations

The 2 year MBA in Petroleum and Energy Management offered by RGIPT is designed as a career-oriented programme aimed at the Petroleum & Energy sector.

Eligibility Criteria: The Candidates must have:

Minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in Class 10 and Class 12 Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering / Technology (4 years duration course after 10+2) or Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Geology or Geoscience with 60% marks or C.P.I. of 6.0. Mathematics must be one of the subjects in 10+2.

Minimum 2 Years work experience in the same sponsoring organization.

CAT/GMAT/XAT score is not required. However candidate will be required to appear for Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
