A Joint Degree Under The Meta University Concept "Master of Mathematics Educations" By University of Delhi & Jamia Millia Islamia
For the first time in India, the innovative and much awaited concept of Meta University based on the premise that the Whole is Greater than the Sum of the Parts' is being implemented by University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia, at the Cluster Innovation Centre (CC) from 3rd January 2013 in form of 2-year joint degree program "Master of Mathematics Education" (equivalent to M.Sc. Mathematics Education). It marks a paradigm shift in Higher Education in India. It shall serve as a platform for communication, collaboration and co-operation among partner universities that will optimize scarce resources as well as free students from the tyranny of boundaries and the constraints of location.
All admission related announcement and details of Course Structure of "Master of Mathematics Education" can be viewed on websites of University of Delhi (www.du.ac.in) and Jamia Millia Islamia (www.jmi.ac.in). The applicant must have passed an undergraduate degree with at least 2 full-fledged papers in mathematics at the undergraduate level.
Only 20 seats are available and the entrance examinations scheduled for 2nd December 2012. The application forms can be obtained from CIC (3rd Floor, University Stadium) or downloaded from the websites of DU & JMI from 29th October, 2012.
