Admission Notification – Ph.D. Programme in Chemistry – 2012
Applications on prescribed form are invited for admission to the Ph.D. programme in Chemistry on the basis of Entrance Examination 2012. The candidate should have a good academic record with a first or high second class Master’s Degree (minimum 55% marks in M.Sc. for unreserved category and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates) in any science subject from a University /Institute recognized by the University of Delhi.
Duly filled application form can be submitted in the Department on all working days (Monday to Friday) between 10:30 am to 3:30 pm on or before 30th June, 2012 along-with a State Bank of India draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “The Registrar, University of Delhi” as Entrance Examination fee. Application form can be downloaded from the University website: http:// www.du.ac.in or collected in person from the office of the Head, Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi, Delhi – 110 007. The total number of seats available is not more than 20. The actual number of seats depending upon faculty requirements shall be notified later. To the extent possible, these seats shall be equally distributed amongst three specializations Inorganic, Organic and Physical. Reservations for SC, ST, OBC candidates shall be as per the University rules in this regard.
