Eligibility criteria for 5 Year programmes

Admission into Five year Integrated B.A., LL.B (Hons.) and B.B.A., LL.B (Hons.) is based on entrance test. To be eligible a candidate should have passed higher secondary school/ intermediate examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50 % marks in aggregate (45 % in case of SC/ST and persons with disability). Candidates awaiting results may also apply for the entrance test. The age of the candidate should not be more than 20 years in case of general category and 22 years in case of SC/ST and persons with disability as on 1st July, 2012.

Eligibility criteria for 3 Year programme

The Candidate should have passed graduation in any discipline (except B.F.A & Single sitting graduates from any distance mode education) with not less than 50 % marks (45 % in case of SC/ST and persons with disability) and candidates awaiting results may also apply for the entrance test. The age of the general candidates should not be more than 22 years (in case of SC/ST and persons with disability 24 years) as on 1st July 2012.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must have passed B.Sc. Examination (in 10+2+3 pattern) or equivalent examination as a Regular Candidate. (Private candidates or degrees obtained through correspondence are not considered eligible).

The Department Of Biotechnology Government Of India Announces The Call For Proposals Under  “ Biotechnology Career Advancement And Re-Orientation Programme For Women Scientists’’

In an attempt to enhance the participation of Women Scientists in Biotechnology Research, the Department of Biotechnology announces the Call for Proposals under the Bio-CARe scheme for women scientists.  The programme is targeted towards Career Development of employed /unemployed women scientists.  The scheme is open for all areas of Life Science / biology (including agriculture, veterinary science and medicine).  Age limit for application has been kept as 55 to ensure maximum impact.

The programme aims at providing support for project grants to women scientists (employed & unemployed) for whom it is the first extramural research grant (Women Scientists who have received any earlier grant from any Government Funding Agency as PI are not eligible).  The purpose is to build capacities for women scientists after a career break so as to help them undertake independent R&D projects.

FMGE-Screening Test-September-2012

The FMGE-Screening Test has been introduced by the Screening Test Regulations 2002. As per the regulations, “An Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.2002 shall have to qualify a screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per the provisions of section 13 of the Act.”

Payment Of Fees

Candidates are required to submit the following fees:

Examination Fee – Rs 3500/- (Three Thousand Five Hundred)

Application Form Fee (to be submitted by candidates using internet downloaded forms) – Rs 750/- (Seven Hundred Fifty only)

Late Fee – To be submitted by candidates submitting their application form after the cut off date but before the cut off date with late fee as prescribed in this Information Bulletin – Rs 1500/- (One Thousand & Five Hundred only)

Application forms must be submitted within the stipulated time specified in the advertisement & on website. Applicants are requested to ensure that they submit the complete application form, in the envelope provided to reach NBE on or before the last date. Applications received after the last date will not be accepted.

Ph.D Program in Sciences

Eligibility The Academy offers exciting opportunities to motivated and talented Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering / Technology/Medicine or B.S (of 4 year duration) or Master’s degree holders with a keen sense of scientific enquiry for pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of Biological, Chemical, Physical and Mathematical Sciences leading to a Ph.D degree.

Ph.D Program in Engineering

Eligibility Candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Pharmacy with a good academic record who have secured Master’s degree admission based on GATE score or with a Master’s degree in Sciences with a good academic record and with a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or valid CSIR-SRF or equivalent fellowship or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with exceptionally good academic record and having a valid GATE score having keen interest in research in various disciplines in Engineering will be offered Ph.D. in engineering. The areas include but are not limited to Mechatronics, Engineering of Structures, Composites, Fabrionics, Sensors and Micro-systems, Bio-inspired Devices and Systems, Plasmonics, Applied Mathematical/Computational Modeling, Aerospace,Disaster Mitigation against Hazards, Environmental Risk Assessment, Leather Technology, Footwear Science and Engineering, Marine Science and Technology, Glass and Ceramic Engineering, Smart Embedded Systems, etc.
