Summer Research Internship positions under - UGRI 2011

IIT Rajasthan launches the Undergraduate Research and Innovation (UGRI) Programme to nourish research and innovation among the undergraduate students from IIT Rajasthan and other academic institution in India. Under this programme, the students undertake focussed research projects at IIT Rajasthan for a period of 10 weeks starting from May 9th to July 15, 2011. The students selected for the UGRI-2011 programme will be given a stipend and subsidized accommodation in the students hostels of the Institute.

Applications are invited from the students who are currently in their 2nd and 3rd Year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.(Engg) or 1st year of M.Sc./M.A./M.Tech. to carry out the research project under UGRI-2011. In case of integrated M.Sc./M.Tech. programmes, it is open for students currently in their 2nd, 3rd and 4th years.

The interested students are requested to fill up the on-line form available on the institute website latest by April 15, 2011. It is also necessary to be uploaded an original proposal write up describing an idea which they would like to work on during this period. The write up should not be more than 800 words.

Selection will be done based on the originality of the proposal submitted and the academic credentials. The list of short-listed candidates will be announced by 25 th April 2011 and they will be intimated through emails. Students must confirm their participation through email by 29 th April 2011. At the end of the program, the students will be asked to make a poster presentation of their work which will be evaluated by a panel comprising of experts both from academia as well as industry. Each student will receive a certificate on the successful completion of the work at the end of this program. The institute may consider some of the best projects for long term support.
