3 months internship at Stanford-India Biodesign Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi

Applications are being invited for a 3-month internship (extendable) at Stanford India Biodesign Center, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

Stanford India Biodesign (SIB) is a collaborative program between AIIMS, IIT Delhi and Stanford University supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India to nurture and train the next generation of Medical Device Innovators in India. Interns will be mentored by the Faculty and Fellows of the SIB program to work on solutions for unmet clinical needs.

Candidates & Eligibility: Applicants with a background in either Design, Engineering, Medicine and Bioscience or with relevant business / technology experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be graduate / postgraduate with age not exceeding 40 years.

Duration: 15th April - 15th July (Full Time).

Stipend: Monthly Stipend of Rs. 20,000/- No additional allowances.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) invites applications, under its newly launched ‘National Solar Sciences Fellows Programme’ for the year 2010–11 from Scientists of India or of Indian origin desirous of participating in cutting-edge research on critical issues related to solar energy in collaboration with leading Institutes and Scientists in India and the world.

The application has to be submitted in the prescribed proforma (Annexure I) and has to be accompanied by a short paper (not exceeding 3 pages) on the applicant’s proposed research proposal clearly identifying the new knowledge that it will help to generate along with a summary of work already carried out by the applicant in the area. Short-listed candidates shall be invited for an interactive discussion with the Management Committee constituted by the Ministry under the ‘National Environmental Sciences Fellows Programme’.
