(Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) Degree course at Visakhapatnam Campus for the session commencing in August 2011 are required to fill up application form issued by Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Campus. There will be no separate Entrance Examination for admission to the above institutes/courses and only those candidates who secure Minimum Qualifying Marks for Ranking (MQMR) in the individual subjects for respective category in JEE-2011 will be called for counselling in order of merit in the month of July/August 2011.

Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET) 2011 - Admission Notice 2011

Admission to the various programmes in study of the University of Jammu, Jammu / Campuses / Affiliated Colleges

It is notified for the information of all concerned that the admission to various Programmes of study of the University of Jammu, Jammu / Campuses/ Affiliated Colleges for the Academic Session 2011-12, shall be made on the basis of an Entrance Test likely to be held after the termination of annual Part III examination of B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA/BCA (Regular 2010-11) of the University of Jammu.

1) Admission to the PG Departments of the University of Jammu, Jammu/ Campuses/Affiliated Colleges shall be made on the basis of Entrance Test and Academic Merit of Qualifying Examination. The final merit of a candidate out of 100 shall be calculated by giving a weightage of 70 i.e. marks obtained in the Entrance Test and a weightage of 30 to the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination- the 30 shall be calculated by giving the weightage of 10% to the percentage of marks in Part I, II & III.

2) The Entrance Test shall be held for admission to the following programmes:

a) PG PROGRAMMES: Biochemistry, Biotechnology (NRI/Industry Sponsored Seats), Botany, Buddhist Studies, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Applications (MCA), Dogri, Economics, Education, Electronics, Environmental Sciences, English, Food Science & Technology, Geography, Geology, Hindi, History, Home Science (CRME), Home Science (Human Development), Human Genetics, Information Technology (M.Sc IT), Library Science (M.Lib.), M.Ed., M.P.Ed, Mathematics, Microbiology, Music, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Punjabi, Remote Sensing & GIS, Sanskrit, Sociology, Statistics, Urdu, Zoology

b) PG DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES: PG Diploma in Business Management, PG Diploma in Human Rights & Duties Education.

Belgium Government Scholarships 2011

Typed applications in the prescribed format are invited from Indian Nationals residing in India for the award of 3 (three) Belgium Government Scholarships, of duration of 10 months each for the academic year 2011-2012 in the following subjects fields for specialization.

a). Agronomy;
b). Environmental Science; and
c). Photonics

a) Applicants should have obtained a first class graduates with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in the related subject. Candidates with Ph.D. degree will not be considered, as they cannot have a student status at Flemish Universities.

b) These scholarships are only valid for higher education institutions/ programmes recognised by the Flemish Government (Education and Training Department). Information can be found at: www.highereducation.be/browseindex and at www.highereducation.be

c) Applicants should be university graduates and apply for postgraduate or Ph.D. studies. Candidates who already obtained a Ph.D. degree will not be considered for the scholarships as they cannot be enrolled as students in the Flemish higher education system.

d) Intending candidates must submit 2 sets of the application form (in Annex), along with the required attachments. (one original file and one copy). They should clearly indicate for which higher education institution and/or programme they apply. If they have had earlier contacts with the institution concerned, it is advisable to add the coordinates of the staff member contacted (name, e-mail address etc.) to the application file.

e) Candidates should be younger than 35 years of age as on 1st January, 2012.

f) Applicants are required to give proof of outstanding academic performance and of a very good account of the English language.

g) These scholarships will be granted by the International Relations Office of the Education and Training Department, on receipt of confirmation of admission by the concerned university.

h) List of Applicants who would be short-listed for interview will be displayed on our website. Interview letters will also be issued to the applicants who have been short-listed for interview. An applicant can come for interview if his name in the list is displayed on our website eventhough for some reason he is not in receipt of the interview letter.
