The University invites applications for a Five year integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree programme for the academic year 2011-2012 commencing from August, 2011.

FIVE-YEAR B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) DEGREE PROGRAMME

Eligibility: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate (those who are appearing in the examination in March/April, 2011 can also apply)

Total Seats: 80 80 (eighty) [70 (Seventy) seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 (ten) seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.

Admission will be strictly on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna on May 1, 2011.

NEST-2011

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai.

Eligibility: Students securing at least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India are eligible to apply. For Scheduled Cast (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Persons with Disability (PD), the minimum requirement is 55%. Students who have passed the Class XII qualifying examination in 2009 or 2010 or are appearing in 2011 are eligible to apply. (Where only Letter grade is given by the Board, a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks will be required. In the absence of such a certificate the decision of the respective Admission Committees will be final.)

How to apply (Applications can be submitted in either of the following ways: 1 or 2)

1. Online form submission is the most convenient and preferred way. Follow these steps to go for it.
1. Register yourself before you login. It is assumed that you already have an e-mail ID.
2. Confirm your registration from a mail sent to you just after registration.
3. Login in the NEST homepage with your mail-id and password.
4. Fill the form and save it or, modify an already saved form.
5. Upload passport photo and scanned signature.
6. Transfer fees or Send DD (in favour of "NEST-2011", payable at Bhubaneswar). Quote Appl.No. in both cases.

2. A letter of request can be sent to get the printed form by post. This form will have to be sent back along with DD after filling it properly. Please send a self-addressed envelop of size 30cm X 22cm.

There is no registration fee for the Training Course. Accommodation will be arranged on payment basis at NIH and IIT Roorkee guest houses. Participants will have to arrange for TA/DA from their own organization. It is intended to register only a limited number of participants for the course, on first come first served basis. The intending participants are, therefore, requested to register themselves early by filling and mailing the attached registration form, latest by 10th February, 2011.
